ObscureEmpyre 24G-P5-3998-KR6/11/2021 8:55:43 AM PTNo Figured I'd paste this here to maybe see where I'm at in the queue.
Added; you are currently #171. Best of luck!
Thank you kindly. I think I have a better shot at getting the HC version at this point. Been floating around #22 from what I've seen so far.

bebopcola Do we know when notifies will start to go out for the queues that opened up today?
We're not sure, but I'd assume we can expect orders to start going out later today. If orders don't come out today, they should come in the morning.

enewt I must have registered for error 17 at least 68 times today before I was finally able to register for my preferred card. Anybody know if the error 17 card has one fan or two?
Error 17 puts you in the queue for a nice passively cooled GT1030.
Probably the DDR4 version as well

Alright I finally received my 3080 Ti FTW3 and I want to make sure I will do that correctly since I didn't have a new cards for years. The card has 3 connectors, and my PSU is a 1000w Platinum (modular). I don't have single cables, they're all 8 / 6+2 so do I need to connect 3 different cables coming from 3 different connectors on the PSU or 2 cables (8 and 6+2 on one of them) coming from 2 different connectors on the PSU will be ok? And holy Jesus on a skateboard is that card friggin' HUGE coming from a small 980ti!!!

3 separate cables from 3 connectors on the PSU to the card.

jcd4878 You are not on the queue unless you get the email from EVGA's server.
That's not entirely true... When the system is super overloaded it doesn't seem to always send the emails. I never received an email this morning for the 3070 TI xc3 Ultra but per the mynotifies page as well as subsequent attempts to sign up I signed up at 9:07:14.

If you don't plan on doing any extreme overclocking you can use 2 cables going to the PSU, if you do, run 3 and just zip tie the extra pigtail to the cable if you care how it looks.

nezff 08G-P5-3785-KL6/15/2021 9:36:05 AM PT No decent, hit notify button three times, error even got in right at 9am. then notify button was there and didnt work at all. refreshed numerous times then finally got email.
I also got to the notify right at 9am PT, even got to press Submit, but I was not worthy. :-) Got that a couple times, then got an unworking Notify button. Checked and it was a script error, so cleared cache to get rid of the bad script file. They really need a more simple website for stuff like this. Loading a couple dozen files and running several scripts just to add a name to a list seems very top heavy.

Ideally use separate cables if possible. It doesn't matter if its 6+2 or 8, but each cable has its own circuits for power draw. Better to spread it out as much as possible, using 2 cables is ok it just pulls more watts from one than the other.

I would think you would be able to put the standard 3080 Ti XC3 Ultra Gaming shroud on if you took the water block off, but then the question would be where to get one without a spare 3080 Ti XC3 Ultra Gaming lying around :)

wezlypipz Jacob said that they don't have an ETA for the 3080 Ti FTW drops but he did say there would be more drops this week...at some point.
12G-P5-3967-KR 6/3/2021 8:12:58 AM PT No 12G-P5-3968-KR 6/3/2021 8:12:34 AM PT No Considering the queue is around 7:41, this makes me feel even better about grabbing a 6900XT on the 3rd. Of course AMD's contractor took 11 days to ship out an "in stock" item. Hopefully will have it on Friday, just in time to swap build into new case with upgraded PSU. That is assuming that Canada Post doesn't pull their usual nonsense by dropping a slip in my mailbox that says "We've had this parcel for over a day already but we won't let you pick it up until Monday afternoon". Once I can get the 3080 Ti, I should be able to sell the 6900XT to a friend for a good discount as they've been keeping their distance from the pre-scalped retailer prices.
