I changed my mind about getting in the queue for the 3070 TI, I don't feel its a big enough jump coming from a 1080 TI.

Yeah but you can use it and put in into the step up program for what you actually want.

Well, when my time comes up for the $800 3070 ti in August or later, I'll pass. I just won the shuffle on Newegg for a $599 3070ti. Assuming I don't get some kind of "woops nvm" email lol, this card is more than enough for who I was buying it for. He would have preferred a 3060 ti, but I haven't heard of those existing in ages and I'm not even in a queue for one lol.
I can feel my dosage of salt reducing, but there's still some disappointment with my preferred brand on how they handled the launch today.

Figures as much but when the new cards release I would think they could move you over to that queue

The only thing now is I gotta figure out which one of my buddies gets this card.. I was hoping to get a 3080 Ti and give them my 3080, but that didn't happen :/ Maybe we'll be able to find someone to do an MSRP trade with and then all of us (well, unfortunately just both of us) will get what we want.
Also reporting back - my mate that camped out at Micro Center overnight was also able to get an EVGA 3070 Ti! He's psyched about it and we are going to celebrate with some F1 2020 tonight :D

It is possible that once they fulfil the current queue and get more stocked up they will reignite it. If demand dies down at some point and they are able to begin producing a variety of SKUs again, absolutely. I just don't see demand dying down this generation :/
