I mean, it is not AMD, and it is expensive so of course he hates it. It is currently "in style" to hate everything from Intel and Nvidia on Youtube, so that's the direction of his channel. The one thing I hope that comes from it is that it pushes Intel and Nvidia to make better products and support customers better. There'd be nothing wrong with that. It just seems that most of the youtubers are going for rage reviews and "sick burns" to get more views than just reporting the data. I still like his show and watch it from time to time, but the more of a meme the show becomes and farther from a technical and logical approach to reviews, the less I like it. I just don't like that he says literally anything and the mass-market repeats it as "gospel" when sometimes he is actually wrong.
I hear you. I think of LTT as a bit more of a meme show, but Steve isn't far behind. Especially if he does more shows while riding down a hill on his mountain bike.
It feels to me that NVIDIA is trying to relitigate/re-fight the poor choice they made last fall in pricing the 3080 so low...they are trying to capture more of the value that they ceded to scalpers over the last 9 months...and it just leaves us in the lurch....
1200 is a bit out of line for the changes. 1000 would have been High but understandable. NVIDIA just wanted some of that scalping money. As they know folks have little choice if they are without a GPU to try and buy this at very inflated price. It will sell out in a flash and NVDIA will make even more money. The smaller blower may well cause worse heat issues than before as well, for 1200 they could have at least used the 3090 larger heatsink and fans. For many though it is a chance to get a GPU this year, the 3070ti my guess will be 899, from this pricing.

they are the salty people mad that ELITE status was made attainable by EVGA where all you need is 100 forum posts. They want a thinned herd, but looks like they will have to be "On Top of It" in the morning when the queue starts.

It was a vacation home, but we were there for several weeks so all our daily use stuff went. Thankfully everyone made it out fine, just none of the stuff :/. What do I need to do to get Elite status? I did notice that the 3080 Ti queues would be open tomorrow thanks to your spreadsheet, keeping my fingers crossed for those. What’s the direct Notify sign up link again? I remember trying to get the store page to load to no avail when people reported the direct link still working just fine, so I’ll definitely be using that instead.

I'm rather saddened that nobody is flagging me for spam.
For those lucky (?) enough to get the 3080Ti tomorrow, recommend the hybrid kit (99% sure it will fit, waiting for confirmation). Dropped my 3090 FTW by 20 degrees celsius.

Elite status can be found here: https://www.evga.com/member/elite/ Basically, register a prior "front line" EVGA product on the site or hit 100 forums posts. Please don't spam in this thread if you go down the second path...here are some suggested spam-appropriate threads: Three Word Game, What's Your Favorite Car (maybe you have 100 favorites), and Five Word Game (when three words simply aren't enough). Best of luck! Edit: there is no direct link for the auto-notify buttons going forward. EVGA changed their backend.

It's most definitely a new person got caught trying to post low effort posts in order to reach the 100 posts limit to become Elite, got flagged multiple times by the community as spam I because it was obvious and then got butthurt and decided to dedicate his/her time being an immature salty baby and report pretty much everything as spam. Notice how it's always ''Reported as spam (1)''? So yeah one little salty poor little sap out there. I find that hilarious because it literally doesn't do anything lol!
