Baasha So if we're already an Elite member we just have to access the "My Elite" homepage tomorrow morning at 6AM PST to have access to purchase a 3080 Ti ? Is there anything else we have to do to "sign up" etc.?
That would be my approach unless the 3080 Ti product page goes live before 6 am PT (which I 100% expect it to be live by 5:30 am PT at the latest).

When I first heard the price of the 3080Ti FE and rumoured price of the 3080TI FTW Ultra, I was out. But I did the math, adding in my new Elite coupon and an associate code, and that brings it to slightly above the 3080 FTW3 Ultra, which I was happy to pay full price for. Of course I'll also need to buy a new PSU as my trusty Seasonic 620W is not gonna be enough. Good reason to give my case a deep clean and reevaluate my cooling setup too.

enewt I hear you. I think of LTT as a bit more of a meme show, but Steve isn't far behind. Especially if he does more shows while riding down a hill on his mountain bike. It feels to me that NVIDIA is trying to relitigate/re-fight the poor choice they made last fall in pricing the 3080 so low...they are trying to capture more of the value that they ceded to scalpers over the last 9 months...and it just leaves us in the lurch....
Completely agree. LTT is good for a laugh now and then, but not actual data or information. J2C is similar and I find it more entertaining than LTT. I used to watch that for fun and GN for more technical data, but in the last year, GN's technical data has been skewed by setup decisions based in bias or misleading marketing. On one hand, I love that he calls out the misleading marketing (hopefully forcing manufactures to do better), but he usually doesn't say that's why he's doing what he's doing, so then people think the product is entirely trash or not capable of better because he said so, when what was really wrong was the marketing (i.e. RKL). The end result is that I still watch J2C for fun and now the opinions he gets to without as much technical understanding and data end up being just as likely to be true as the skewed info from GN. Again, you could see that with RKL where Jay did the same thing as GN and HWU when it launched and went "boo, garbage" then he had time to actually play with it and was like "wait a minute...OC memory just works...and the CPU actually overclocks for huge gains...what the heck?!"...because just like everyone else, he barely tried to test it fully at launch. I do think it is fair that they call out the manufacturers every single time on the pricing. I think the original MSRPs (pre 80-ti-launch) were not too far off the reasonable mark, but then everything went crazy and I think you're completely right that now they're just gouging trying to make up where they could have been making more money all along. Just a money grab, and for that reason, I'm glad Steve did call them out for that. I just thought I'd be clear that my comments on GN were generalities of their trends over the last year, not specifically that video. I have a couple small problems with that video, but overall, I agree with what he's saying on that one.

enewt Oh goodness...Steve hates it...Gamer Nexus 3080 Ti Review.
I mean, it is not AMD, and it is expensive so of course he hates it. It is currently "in style" to hate everything from Intel and Nvidia on Youtube, so that's the direction of his channel. The one thing I hope that comes from it is that it pushes Intel and Nvidia to make better products and support customers better. There'd be nothing wrong with that. It just seems that most of the youtubers are going for rage reviews and "sick burns" to get more views than just reporting the data. I still like his show and watch it from time to time, but the more of a meme the show becomes and farther from a technical and logical approach to reviews, the less I like it. I just don't like that he says literally anything and the mass-market repeats it as "gospel" when sometimes he is actually wrong. Edit for clarity: I totally agree with Steve that the $1200 MSRP is too much.
I think Steve is fed up with the supply situation all around and I think that bleeds into his work. Not sure how it affects his business though. It's kind of hard to churn out technical videos when people aren't really going to use them for information on their purchase. How could they? They have to buy whatever they can find. A review isn't going to weigh very heavily on many people purchase decisions in this environment. more of a "deal with it" attitude seems to be going around. The other thing that I think irks him is in general the trend we are seeing with thermals and power on these cards. We may be reaching a critical mass where current typical GPU design just isn't going to cut it anymore. The 3080ti averages between 90-100c memory temp during testing. They should never put a brand new product out like that. The whole idea that these things can run at these temps just seems suspect as hell. Most plastics have a melting point between 120-150c. I mean when is lackadaisical thermal design going to become a concern? I understand more processing = more power but there needs to be some semblance of advancement in the thermal solutions. I think there is definitely some clickbaiting here, but look around youtube. Every single one of them does this. It's the environment society demands. Can't be successful without it and it would be foolish to try. His points though remain solid. Price vs performance increase is not there and it's just Nvidia trying to capitalize on the market. There is nothing wrong with that but they just need to quit acting like it is anything else. Not sure if you watched his AMD 6700xt video but he basically did the same to them while pumping up the 3080 and 3060ti so I'm not sure I agree with your AMD fanboy undertone. Besides AMD has been putting out some kickass products lately and I'm sure I don't need to tell you what team blue is doing.

They're the types of channels that will consider a RTX 2070 "obsolete", 1200w power supplies to be "bare minimum" and recommend CPU upgrades every generation, it's good fun but frankly it's the type of thing that also pushes people to buy so much and drive stocks so low.

Yeah, I'm not saying he is 100% pro-AMD all the time lol, sorry I guess I left that kind of vague. I think it mainly boils down to AMD has been doing much better the last couple years and he's riding that wave of popularity because that's what keeps his channel popular and successful. Also, I totally agree GN is not alone in this. They are just one of the more popular and widely quoted sites. Also, their titles have been going more and more click-bait, which makes them stand out as more of a meme than some of the others. I think your points on thermals and power usage are valid and I mostly agree with them. As I said, I do hope that Steve (and others)'s tone and direction have the outcome of pushing manufacturers to do better.

Would agree that he has ridden the AMD wave a bit, but who in the space hasn't? They have all kind of been forced too. On the CPU side AMD has been the only one really making any semblance of advancement at least in terms of store shelved product releases. Agree on the titles as well. It may alienate some of his longtime viewers a bit, but I think society is kind of dictating this to him and I'd rather seem him conform a bit to continue being relevant and putting out content.

I don't think it's up yet- i just checked and it only shows 3060 ti not the 3080 ti or 3070 ti. Maybe tomorrow when the queue goes up it should be available?

NGL Jay2cents is one of my favorite reviewers since he goes into great detail on certain new releases and things of the sort. IDK he's not the most technical but he's pretty good to me.

philipma1957 Good luck with 3070ti and 3080ti signups Newegg has an Evga 3080 in the shuffle today You have to buy it with and evga psu if you win it. I see Eth hash rate finally falling from a peak of 643th to 581 th. or the equivalent of 6,430,000 evga 3080s to 5,810,000 evga 3080s I am thinking that we may see some release of demand pressure on gpus in June and maybe July. I am hoping to see a kingpin some time this June I am number 56 or 57 on the list for the hybrid.
Hopefully with mining going down (slightly, at least) there can be a lower amount of people looking to get so many cards. The only issue is that the LHR cards will only limit Ethhash, not other mining algos. IDK why they would do that since ETH is going to be going PoS soon, making Mining ETH impossible, forcing others to go to different algos anyways. Weird to me.

Finally got a drop notification on the 3090 kingpin HC (higher end than I need, but beggars can't be choosers and I'm not getting anything else)... Used your associate code enewt. Thanks for keeping track of all of this. 24G-P5-3999-KR 5/6/2021 9:00:14 AM PT Yes

Hitch_Itch I had high hopes for the 3898 Hybrid, I started at 11 minutes due to site crashes and now I have been sitting at 4 minutes away for what seems like an eternity.
12/16/2020 9:11:04 AM PTNo Here's to hoping all goes well tomorrow for everyone but my money is on site crashes and limited supply as history has shown, I hope EVGA proves me wrong but either way I'm here for the long hall. May the Luck be with you!
Gotta hope for the best but prepare for the worst! Maybe after learning from the earlier drops they will adapt and be ready? Who knows though

ijosegomez Thank you guys for doing this! Totally takes out the crazy of shopping for a card.
For real it's such a good idea and makes the stress almost non existent. Amazing work from EVGA as always.

Is there some kind of average number of (for example) 3070s sold in one week or month? So that one could know how long would it take to get one.

guneet Where can I see the prices for the 3080 Ti SKU's on the EVGA website?
I don't think it's up yet- i just checked and it only shows 3060 ti not the 3080 ti or 3070 ti. Maybe tomorrow when the queue goes up it should be available?
According to Jayztwocents, the 3080ti will start at $1339 at launch and will include a free mouse. After launch, it will go up to 1399 (1) NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti - Did you ask for this?? - YouTube

I would go to the actual page for the 3080 Ti and wait for the auto-notify button to appear. During the Kingpin HC release, I wasn't even able to see anything on my Elite page.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the community spreadsheet ☺️. I hope you all get your card soon! If you found the spreadsheet useful, please consider using my associate code for your next purchase:

Anyone know how to get in queue for the 3080Ti? I’ve been in queue for a 3090 since Nov and this is getting ridiculous at this point. Or at the very least know around the ball park of when you can buy one? Do they go up at midnight PDT?
