Well the one benefit here to folks wanting the card is that mining is less profitable, the price point on the 3080 Ti is pretty absurd insuring less folks sign up, so both the flipping potential and the ability to mine on it is compromised. 
 
 I expect far less people to be interested in signing up for the notify for the 3080 Ti.
 

Oh, I think it's going to be an all time crap show. This is who will be pounding on their keyboard when the 3080ti launches.....
 
- Almost everyone who is currently a mile away in one of the 3080 queues. That's a lot of people right there.
- Scalpers. Lots and lots of scalpers.
- Those like me who have been patiently waiting for the 3080ti.
- Those who want to upgrade from a card that they bought two months ago just because it was all they could get at the time.
- Those who can't really afford it, but have yet to convince themselves. They will fret about it until they get the email and then wet their pants over the cost. This is why we have straggler drops. 
 
Don't expect cost to hold back too many people though, even if they can't really afford it. That's what credit cards are for and we are talking about a $1300 item. With tax and shipping figure somewhere around $1420. I would imagine that most people these days have credit cards that can eat an amount like that. If they were already looking at buying a 3080 it's only a few hundred more. If they get a better time stamp than the lump of **** that they are currently holding, of course they will opt for the 3080ti.

Those like EU 3060, 3060ti .......(feel free to add....)... que that feel like they are never gonna get their card, and had to spent 3 x times the amount they previously planed....

Calling it a crap show doesn't even come close to what it will look like June 3rd.
 
One thing that I would like to see is the difference in power between a 3080 FTW3 and a TI, but I guess we won't see benchmarks for a couple of days.

So I get that everyone is excited about the 3070/3080Ti.  I do.  Really.  And I hate to be the guy that douses water on your red-hot expectations......
 
but I'm going to call it here.  There is absolutely zero chance that the 3080Ti has 71% improvement over the 3080, which means you're basically paying a few hundred dollars .... to jump into another queue and hope to get the newer card faster than the one you've been in queue for already.  (I'm basing this on the 71% retail price increase from the 3080 to 3080Ti via Nvidia -- $699 to $1199) 
 
That said:  The 3070Ti is probably going to be worth it, being only $100 more than the 3070 (or a 20% price increase), and I honestly feel (without having seen a single benchmark) that 10-20% improvement is what we can expect from both the 3070 and 3080Ti over the non-Ti versions.
 
There's a REASON they didn't show us any comparisons with the 30-series in the keynote.

Yeah I suspect it's probably the new salty people that are frustrated that they get flagged as spam that are doing this.

I see your point, but you don't have to have 100 post to be Elite. I am an Elite member and don't even have 50 post.

I'm elite from registering a GPU but have had other GPUs and PSUs and a AIO etc I could have registered. Slightly easier then posting here all day.

That's only a 20% price increase ($499 > $599) so honestly, if we get anywhere -near- 20% improvement from 3070>3070Ti, this is a good deal IMO.

So you're hating on people trying to get an edge in a cut throat gpu market. At least you know they're not likely scalpers since all you'll get through this method is one card and bots won't likely be using this method. It won't let me register my 7 year old 780 so this is what I'm stuck with and discord servers and Twitter follows have gotten me nowhere so here I am.

The spamming and floods of 1000s of BS post to get to 100 post is what is annoying right now. Suddenly you just have a ton of spam with post like "So super cool!" or "I wish I could have a GPU" copy and pasted in several different threads. 
 
It has ruined the community with low content responses and post.
