Amazon has some of the most laughable bot protection ever. How could the largest company getting these cards just let ****s bot their way to as many cards as they can get? At least BB did SOMETHING, and now the ZOTAC store is doing a terrible queue thing to even get into their store, it's not like the EVGA queue where your place is saved, nope, they just have a queue now for their 30 cardsd they sell at a time while 10's of thousands of people line up in the online queue. It's not going to take the bots long to beat that capcha system before the queue. This is all such a ****show, companies have had so much time now to create ways to deal with bots. IMO, EVGA did the best, the New Egg shuffle is ****, I signed up for it so many times, but nothing. Saw a guy who got it two days in a row... good ****ing job, New Egg... I'd rather take my chances on BB. I signed up for the queue way back in sept like seemingly most everyone else because I still haven't seen any email from evga, does anyone actually know what percentage of graphics cards end up allocated for the queue? While the rest go to places like New Egg, BB or god forbid, Amazon?
Register your products with my code please! I'll make it worth your while ;) Use my associate code to save 3% on your EVGA GPU purchase! And up to 10% on other products! Use CDPGWU2BO6QBD6I. Works with "EVGA Double 50" to get an additional percentage off.

So question: when I see an ebay listing, click it, and get an error page, that means it was just gone that fast right? Mostly curiosity, I don't click on them thinking I have any chance of buying usually.

That means the item was removed due to whatever reason. Seller could have removed it or Ebay did. Successfully sold items will typically still show up with the amount the item(s) sold for, but show "sold".

Indeed, a time stamp for a 3897 on the evening of launch day (9/17) would have got you the card at the beginning of December. A lot of people already got a card through the queue. The problem is that fewer GPU chips are being made right now. As a result, the frequency of drops for most cards have decreased sharply. Ask Enewt, business was brisk in 2020. Yes, there was a massive bottleneck for the first couple of days, but there were also frequent drops and a lot of activity here. Now I would mostly be hearing crickets if not for the frequent negative posts and other doomsayers declaring a SKU dead just because it has not dropped in a couple of weeks.... that they are aware of. The last 3898 drop was 4 weeks ago tomorrow. That's just how things are right now. That card has been dropping once every 4-6 weeks for months now and it looks like the 3897 might be joining it, hopefully not for long.

I will tell you sad every Time kingpin hybrids drop more people list ahead of me in the queue. Apparently the kingpin queue is not fully reported by those that are on the actual list. This creates a false sense of hope for me and anyone in the range of 60 -90 kingpins to go. I was at 73 2 months ago and 20+ cards dropped in the last two months I am now 83. So it appears people wait to show they are on the list or something as I do not understand what my number stays so high or get higher. maybe I did move up today and it is not tallied

The crazy thing is I'm still seeing eBay promote these exact same listings for months, yet they are actually removed long ago. Just sitting there uselessly polluting the results.

If your number is 83, subtract 12. It was a bit hollow in late December and early January, but those times did accordion out. The other months probably still will as well, but it is going a bit faster. There will probably be a couple to a few that get reported tomorrow. After that, it might be next week or it might be next month before you see a substantial drop again. Hope for the best, but don't expect the best. It's like this stupid covid vaccine (for me). Head still feels crushed, but hopefully tomorrow it will be better.

Did you queue up for 3655 and 3657? 3655 has barely moved at all but 3657 is moving decently. I fully expected EVGA to move higher priced/tiered cards over lower price offerings first and queued up for both. My 3657 popped a few weeks ago and I expect the 3655 to stagnate well behind the 3657 unfortunately as that time stamp hasn't moved hardly at all in comparison.

I might enter the 3060 into step up for a 3070. Got one son a 6700xt, he has a free sync monitor. The other son has a g sync, and the performance levels would put the 3070 just edging the 6700 out, or the 60ti just below. I have to enter the step up within 90 days of 3060 purchase? Or does the step up have to occur in the 90 days? Cause lord knows how long the actual transaction will actually take...

You need to enter the Step-Up within 90 days. The fulfillment can take however long it takes so long as you got in line within the allowed period. I would get in now since you have no obligation to actually go through with it when your chance comes up. Although the 3070 would be a substantial improvement over the 3060 (and beats the 6700xt if only due to ray tracing and DLSS support), you might feel like you're happy enough when you get called. Or think "thank heavens, finally".

The number of people ahead of you in those lists is irrelevant. It's the dates that matter. You can judge by how fast they're moving through the dates and get a sense of when your turn will come. At the current pace, my turn will never come for a Kingpin. I'm 2/26. The queue is crawling at a couple of days per month. EVGA is not really prioritizing these queues. If you look at the historical dates, the first people in the queue waited 1 day. Then 2 days, then 1 month, then 2 months, etc. We're around 5 months now. So the rate is slowing down.

This is entirely incorrect. The people in front of you matter, as well as the number of drops on any given day. The date is just a number on a timeline. Drops speed up over time as congestion lowers.

I tend to agree that the spreadsheet can be misleading and frustrating if taken as anything more than a reference. I put my name on the first 3080 spreadsheets, but haven't provided my information since. For me, monitoring the last queue drop date/time reported is much less "stressful" and I don't worry about the unknown number of people in front of me. I guess it depends on the type of person, as well as how they interpret the spreadsheet.
