lol all that salt, and yet, there were indeed 3897 drops today.
1-2 cards in almost 2 months now is not what I call an ''active'' queue, probably constant stragglers or refurbished cards they keep selling back.
over 5 minutes in what is probably the most densely populated queue is probably more than 1-2 cards, but who knows lol.

That makes me feel a little better, thank you, I normally go for the 70, I try to cap myself at $500 since I just play games, but the 3080 is just more appealing than the 3070 this generation.

3090 should be $200 at most more than the 3080. MSRP on that card is way out to lunch.

I know what you mean. I've heard anecdotal evidence that while the 3080 and 3060tis from BB are almost impossible to get, you can still get the 3070 if you're very quick, lucky and focused solely on getting only that card. The bots are largely focused on the other two because of mining. So if you are desperate to get anything at this point, I think going for the 3070 and using it to tide you over is a solid play.

Ampere's performance numbers reminds me of Pascal's, I actually put in for a notify for a 3070 before the 3080's, but decided to cancel and just focus on the 3080's.

Well, I signed up for the 3989... 10:00:36. Not sure I really want it though... Realistically, how much would setting up a water loop cost? I just have everything air cooled right now. Can my CPU still stay air-cooled?
That would be fine. You can make a loop just for the GPU if you wish.
On the low end, few hundred. You need to buy the tubes, fittings, pump/res/etc.
It can be much cheaper if you watch the clearance page on .
Thanks for the help. I will have to do some shopping around and see if it's worth it :)
Keep in mind that for best performance over time, they require some maintenance. At least a yearly flush and refill... A little more involved than getting the air can out to blow off the dust, but not too bad.
Yeah, I'll probably just wait for the air-cooled one. I think the hybrid would have been best, but for some reason I completely slept on that one and only signed up near the end of January. Oh well, if I ever do get the 3987 maybe I'll get a hybrid kit for it...

Thanks Aunger. The first thing this tells me is that I suck at signing up for things. Even though I was ready for this, at least signing up, not buying, I am among the latest timestamps I have seen. Least coast, ugh. It shows demand is actually huge for this, as Nick has been plotting out. Good luck, hopefully the HCs rain down over the next week or two. The fact it made at least 16 seconds today is a positive. I blame enewt for telling jacob to dial it back on this launch, because if there isn't a HC KPE drop, he just can't take all the good news.
