what's the excuse this time?
Man, I really feel this. I signed up for the 3897 on 9/21 at 10:11 PM. It gets pretty frustrating seeing people talking about their long waits being over but they signed up for their 3080 hybrids or 3060s between December and February. I recently achieved elite status and was able to get a 20% coupon from spinning the wheel. It's supposed to be good for 90 days, so I expect I'll get my email at least 91 days from the day I got the code. This whole thing has been a huge mess.
Exact same situation across the board for me too, including the 20% discount. Pretty sure the 3897 is not really being produced anymore in favor of either other cards because they are making more profits on them, or because eventually we'll see a 3080TI and the same mess will restart from scratch again.

They went out today. Drop ended at 10:00:16 in the timeline.
Might it be reasonable to expect, say for someone in at 10:00:31 to expect a notification within the week?
Really tough to predict. I would expect a few notifications to go out tomorrow as there's always a few who sign up for the notify and change their minds. After this round of hydro's are exhausted, it's anyone's guess when the next batch will be released.

Sadly, I don't think so. The cadence of high end cards tends to be infrequent and certainly not every week. Sorry I don't have better news. If I had to hazard a guess, the next material drop (not just a straggler drop, although there are unlikely to be many if any from today's drop for obvious reasons) will occur in May at the earliest.

Looks like since 9/16 we are at about ~2.2 million IDs. (~1.1 million IDs since 1/3/21)
Take about 100k off for other site sales and that's a lot of notifies.

From what I could tell it wasn't much. The 3060Ti FEs didn't drop at all and the 3080s were spotty at best. Some folks I saw got some 3070s though, but you had to be going for that card from the get go.

Another bit to keep in mind: eVGA can only ship so many at once in one day because they have a limit of how many cards UPS can pick up in one go. So whatever today's cut off was for the new release, might be all they were allowed to stick on the truck for today.
