It is amazing that EVGA honors the missed emails. I would have expected the general consensus here to be against that practice, since it slows down the queues.

👍🏻 I’m doing it for the “lord of GPUs karma points” not an associate, but dang it I wanted to get in before any other helpful comments for once 🤓🤣

Meh, it means someone who wasn't checking retakes a straggler meant for someone who was checking today. And that advances the queue, thus making it faster.

I'm inclined to agree here; that one card every once in a while is not making a difference to the flow of the queue.

When we are taking about seconds here, one card does make a difference to the next person in the queue. Spin it how you want, I only said I am surprised people are for the missed email forgiveness. I personally could care less, because I am not missing my emails after waiting months.

I'm pretty sure that more notifications are going out each day than we really think or observe here. I really don't think EVGA is sending out 10 or 20 notifies a day. There are a lot of people not involved in this community (and, unfortunately, a lot of scalpers and bots on the queue as well). If they thought it would be disruptive to the system, I'm pretty sure they would not be honouring late requests.

It is 10AM PT! Probably we can see drop soon. Especially if it will be just leftover from yesterday... tshalevI'm inclined to agree here; that one card every once in a while is not making a difference to the flow of the queue. One or thousand - it doesn't matter. If today scheduled x cards to drop, tomorrow y and day after tomorrow z, but today 10% doesn't claimed their cards, then tomorrow drop will contain 0.1x+y cards. If tomorrow all people who missed their notification today will claim their cards - then nothing changes for people who scheduled for day after tomorrow drop. So queue does not slow down. But if no one will claim missed card, then some people people who scheduled for day after tomorrow drop will get their cards earlier.

I really want to get into the details of how if you are waiting in line with 100 people, and 10 people step out, the line doesn't now move faster for the person at the end... But I digress. Good luck and less slow queues to all!

Bmurdy Wel I missed my 3080 hybrid que like and idiot so if anyone got it and wants to sell one let me know.
Go back a several (or more) pages. There are instruction other like you have successfully used to purchased the card (provided that the missed time is hours/days vs weeks/months)
Going from memory, but basically you respond to the initial mail, then call the customer support line, they find the email you sent and send you another purchase link.
Good luck.
Edit: Lol. This isn’t even on the same page as the question anymore 🤣. Gives me hope :)

Haha I was thinking that a few days ago. Still probably far less than Enewt deserves for all the hard work put in for the community.

I think it happens so infrequently that most of us here are able to be happy for the guy who just got a card (after thinking he missed his chance). A better and healthier community mindset than the people who just go on about how it's your own fault if you haven't found a card because they got fifteen cards by Discord/MC tailgating/BB drop magic/Shuffle voodoo, etc so stop complaining and use those bootstraps.

dskx_16 I'm really contemplating on getting a GTX 1650 super 4GB for $600, just so that I can have something until I get my notification. Think it's worth it? I mostly play Bethesda games and some Siege every now and then.
$600 will get you a much better performing card from the 10/20 series. Are you looking for a new card?

Now that's not very nice. I have been nothing but supportive of this community and in other's pursuit of cards. Given all the things that get complained about on the thread, I only stated I am surprised this one is not one of them. And my point for the "blame yourself" posts is to encourage people that time spent complaining could be used to get another hook in the line, and primarily to defend EVGA as one of the "good guys" in this battle. I have defended EVGA because people like to come to EVGA's forum and hammer them because they do not have a card. EVGA has the most fair system, and I think it is not so cool to come to their own place and tell them how crooked and greedy they are... when they have done almost nothing to warrant it.

I think we can all agree that if YOU were the one who waited 7 months for the email and then you missed it for whatever reason (aggressive junk folder, broken phone, business trip to nointernetastan, angry spouse, etc) - you would ABSOLUTELY want to reclaim your lost spot. Parts for my build have been ordered. The Utonium build will be done next weekend. Once the z590 Dark gets released (and in my grubby little hands) I'll be kitting it out with hydro cooling for it's final form - the Chemical X build.
In the meantime I get to play around with a z490 GB board and a 10700K - which I'll either donate to the daughter or put into a build with the 3080 if I find someone wanting a system (my backlog of friends wanting builds evaporated as everyone ended up buying pre-built.) I might even return the 119000K and skip this gen anyway, if I like the build.
