I signed up for an auto notification for a card a while ago, but reading this post I re-submitted a notification request (prior to realizing that my original request saved a place in line). Did that reset my place in line, or is my original place in line intact from when I originally requested a stock notification?
It will go by your earliest entry.
Let us PREORDER and put the payment down so it will weed out the people who are not serious about buying or buying for reselling purposes. They won't be able to put money down and not have a time period for their return.

They probably had to get legal from NVIDIA to sign off on the system. We know 100% nvidia said no pre-orders allowed, so a queue system was probably on the banned list as well without legal framework.

I kind of think they should do a lottery rather than queue going forward. Queue for people who already were on notify lists before today, lottery every week for everyone who signs up afterward.
Could also combine it with a system that gives some priority to people who registered EVGA products or at least created EVGA accounts before launch date. Not total priority because that would just let people resell the cards, but let's say two returning customers filled for every new customer filled until supply levels out.

Is there a way to check if you are in the queue? When you sign up for notifications there doesn't seem to be any way to confirm that you are signed up. Similar to how newegg has a page that shows what you want to be notified for

I tried to click notify me but it always says invalid email even though it matches the one tied to my profile does this mean I've already signed up for auto notify? I can't remember if I did for this site is there a way to check?

Jacob said to just sign up again if you aren't sure. EVGA will use the earliest sign up.

I did something really really stupid and changed my email in my profile to a newer one because my old one was outdated. I did this after the announcement was made for this queue system. I then signed up again with the new email on auto-notify. I then panicked and reverted it to the old email again (of which I likely signed up for auto-notify a while ago). Did I just put myself at the back of the line?
If the email address you signed up for auto-notify with has an associated EVGA account, you should be good.

I bet that queue is so large that even if you signed up for auto notify on launch day, Sept 24th, that you won't get a notification to buy until Jan 2021. With Nvidia CEO saying there will be 3090 shortages until 2021, I'm not hopeful at all:

You might as well be right, but this does get us in line where we can eventually get a card. THe way its setup now, only bots and tiny windows of opportunity when you can buy them. Beats f5ing, waiting for something that may never come.
This is true, and despite Nvidia's CEO having gone fully insane by saying it's not a supply issue, I'm banking on AMD's release, which leaks are suggest will be very strong and highly available, and the 3070s to cleaving demand and make scalpers give up (because now there's exhaust for all the frustration) and make it easier to grab 'em.

This is a great system and its how I got my valve index but steam gave like 7 days to complete purchase and that item is still sold out even after a year. I don't expect 7 days but I think 24 hrs is good, since people like myself might miss it at work

I already purchased a 3080 from NE for one of my kids. I need another for my other kid. Does the one card per house hold apply even if one card is purchased from another vendor? (I already registered the 3080 with EVGA. ) By the way this que system is a great solution.

Ah yes, the textbook Schrodinger's douchebag, do something scummy and if anyone calls you out on it, pretend it was a joke. Oldest trick in the book. I made an account for the 3080 drop, don't flatter yourself.
Actually I may use Celeras's code because I didn't know you could click on the link and save the cookie for checkout, I thought I would have to screw around with it when I'm rushing to get it done.
