Not sure if this was already known but I just watched GN Extra's latest video. Steve asks about their next project at 12:10 and their response implied little hope for another product release. Recommend watching the whole video, great people and insight overall. https://youtu.be/OniFkDc8Btw?t=729 I love my x570 Dark and was holding out for Intel's next generation of CPUs before my next DARK/KP upgrade.

A shock to absolutely no one. Good riddance to bad motherboards.

my EVGA Classified z690 is the best MOBO i ever bought in over 25+ years. in 2016 i forgot that EVGA had MOBO's and accidentally stuck with Gigabyte. But vowed to go EVGA for next build. What i learned 25 years ago and have stuck with is that it's the Chipset is what matters. and if u know what ur doing, or u have a great PC Guru to help u; everything else doesn't matter nearly as much as the Chipset. So if i had gone with EVGA instead of Gigabyte in 2016; things would have been just as great with EVGA, as with Gigabyte. But i didn't. and Gigabyte was perfect. i was familiar with support on their unofficial-official support forums; i had had a Gigabyte LAG775, LGA 1366 and LGA 2011-v3, for my gaming PCs in 2007 thru 2016. all was perfectly fine and just like on these forums here at EVGA the past 18 months, ppl that had/have enough experience and or a great PC Guru, had no problem or very few -- and probs were generally QA related and not user for them. After all there's user, and there's QA. i reiterate: didn't ever have one single prob with Gigabyte gaming MOBOs and not one single problem with this EVGA Gaming MOBO. so if EVGA doesn't make another MOBO and i hope they do because they make the best; it's the Chipset that matters as long as u know what ur doing and or have a great PC Guru. MSI's servers got hacked not long ago, so they're on probation with me. Gigabyte may have gotten better since 2016 IDK. There's always ASUS. Are Abit and Epox still around? (lol Socket 939 days.) Foxconn is an absolute no, due to treatment of their employees. Oh, do ASRock boards still ROCK!? if ASUS still, has a repair location, just 60 minuets from me like in 2006, (i screwed-up a flash all mb but three years up until then -- all was perfect!) then i think they may end-up being my choice because i have more time these days and can travel there. plus maybe getting some insight from them there while there would ROCK! and if they sold refurbished stuff, that could be a blast. but i'm really happy, as of this summer, there's finally a Micro Center in my state. and it's only 15 minuets away in a shopping area i have gone to zillions of times. w00t! i've never been to one, and have felt so left out. EVGA, please stay in the MOBO business. i promise to only buy ur MOBOs, if u do. and promote them too! And plz get back into Video Cards (nVidia). Hope, hope and be thankful for all u have before it's gone ppl!

I kind of wonder if it's EVGA not doing a new motherboard or if it's the kingpin team not doing motherboards since getting out of NVIDIA GPU means having the fastest NVIDIA GPU numbers are no longer as important to EVGA. I don’t know what the future holds but you have to think without NVIDIA GPU Vince is going to likely retire or find another brand to overclock for and the same goes for the overclocking team that helps him. It makes sense if EVGA was to try to make it by on PSU and motherboards to try to make a better selling product by reducing costs and offering some overclocking options then trying to hit the extreme top 1% market. I am sure people look at the 4090 and the cost and think that graphics card companies must make a ton off of them but the reality is the 4060 is probably where the majority of income really is.

After KingPin left, i knew we wouldn't see any new motherboards. I don't think will see NU sound card returning. Will be lucky lucky if EVGA still around in 2-3 years selling power supplies.

I keep telling people, EVGA will not be around for much longer. Andrew Han is drawing back, closing departments one by one. Friends in Tiawan have been telling me about layoffs and so on... Then even PSU's going with cheaper manufacturers to save a back and cut cost. Not looking good, its why I am moving to full ASUS at least motherboards/gpus/displays... Have owned four PSU's of EVGA's over the last two to three years, like before most failed, saved the 850w G5... had my 1200 p3 fail didn't bother to RMA, just got a Corsair HX1500i and called it a day.

Arrogant, full of himself, self centered, a huge ego. All of that chased Shamino away and its taken a long time for EVGA to make an amazing board again. Asus got the lead due to Shamino going there. He thinks he built EVGA all by himself when it was really Keith Rotchford who made EVGA amazing and had the company on the right path. Notice how things have changed over the years with Andrew Han taking fully over. His biggest issue is his Ego as we saw with him pulling out from nvidia, that didn't show them. They took some of EVGA's key employees, other AIB's were like yup we will take that gpu supply, Acer was like time to get in on that action too and is about to release nvidia cards. Andrew Han due to his ego will not let a board of directors take over, they do better than him he will look bad. The company is already sinking in the waves, the relationship with nvidia will never be a thing again, too many core people are gone. It is what it is at this point.

Because they do not plan to be around for much longer. Three years will probably be max unless they start operating at a huge loss then the plug will get pulled sooner rather than later. Andrew now will look out for number one. Himself, once profits are gone, he will really start closing shop, will sell or rent the buildings he owns, then ride off into the sunset.

I watched that video as well and came to the same conclusion. When they said that the BIOS team was most likely moving on to another company, that is another large indicator that there will be no further developments. How do you develop new motherboards with no BIOS team ?

Amazon and Newegg continue to sell evga power supplies with 10 year warranty. If EVGA does end up going out of business in 2-3 years, what happens to all the warranties. Looks like EVGA might be ditching it's online store. I don't see any motherboards, power supplies, sound cards or gaming peripherals in stock. Only thing in stock is B-Stock, Gear and Power Link.

Is anyone going to bother to try to salvage the forums to a different url? Maybe RIPevga.com or something lol. Or we just gonna let it suddenly die out as we move on with our lives?

Sad thing to say too. In the end all I'd miss are the great people I've met from here. Ones still here and the ones that aren't anymore. Some I even had the pleasure of meeting in person. Muskie32, Violence, Balto, Wrinvert...

Yeah, not surprised, but somehow still quite saddened by it. I will definitely miss the forums. I was thinking it would be cool to start a new forum space and try to save the archive from this one, but I have no idea how that would work or to accomplish such a thing. Then you'd also have to expand it to capture more active users somehow as this place has been dwindling.

It's a matter of time before this forum suddenly is gone. Will there be a warning? Will someone be the final straw that triggers it? Who knows. Only a matter of time.
