Allow loyal customers with serial numbers already on file in My EVGA to purchase/backorder a 3090 exclusively for the first hour of sales. Notify eligible customers ahead of time when the sales will start.

After that throw the gates open to bots, scammers and maybe even a new customer.

EVGA will not loose any sales; they are still going to sell every single one, but it would give legit customers a chance to try for a card.

I've said before and I'll say it again, if they allowed me to pre-purchase a spot in line for the 3090 FTW, I'd pay the entire cost right now. I care less about waiting a few weeks to get one compared to the hassle of trying to buy one. I hated clicking in hopes of winning a thing I then pay money for in Final Fantasy 14. I hate it even more in real life.

I guess since I'm only going to buy one 3090 and not another major video card for 4 years that I just can't compete with a reseller bot who brings them more business. One per customer my aunt fanny..

They could but that would not solve anything. I mean, why should I have a better shot that you? Isn't that your idea? I mean, you've not even contributed to the community yet you're asking for preferential treatment with your first post.

I think some folks have suggested that and if history is a guide, fell on the same deaf ears it did last time.

@HeavyHemi. Not asking for preferential treatment based on how much I talk, but how much I buy. I think that may be one definition of customer loyalty.

Allow us to buy 1 card.
    I agree I want 1 EVGA FTW3 ULTRA 3090.
I don't want to fight to the death for it.
This scalping bot nonsense is too much.
Open it up to only EVGA Elite member's that's fair.
If you think it's unfair. It will be fair once you realize you don't have to do this for the RTX Hopper 4000 series launch in another 2 years.

I'd rather they not. My product listing is a couple of pages and I don't feel I deserve a better chance.
Actually on second thought, the EVGA Bucks program kinda covers the contributor side.  By contributing, I wasn't talking about post count. But actively participating as a loyal member of the community.

Don't let this get to your heads, lads. There will be plenty more cards in the near future. Same.

I got a G9 (actually 2) arriving tomorrow and right now I only have an EVGA 1080Ti FTW3. I need a 3090 to be able to properly test this monitor. I have been buying EVGA products for more than a decade and they should let loyal customers have a better shot than the  bots. I don't mind if I have to wait a while, what I hate is having to waste time trying get one refreshing 3-4 different websites when I can just pay it now and having the peace of mind that it will come at some point.

Any idea when Amazon will have EVGA 3080 or 3090 in-stock?

The issue is there are a bunch of us who are near-exclusive EVGA supporters that just didn't upgrade for the 10xx and 20xx line. My last build was 5+ years ago. Everything possible in it was EVGA. I just finally upgraded my entire system, minus the GPU, in April. Everything EVGA was sold out, so I couldn't get the status then. What is also lovely, my EVGA Nu isn't an Option 2 qualified product. That makes my new G+ 1000w PSU is the only qualified Elite EVGA purchase in 5+ years. However, I still have 8+ EVGA items registered I think? And that doesn't include the unregistered parts because I was an idiot back then, and only registered things when I had problems and wanted warranty. On top of all that, the many computers I built for friends over the years using almost exclusively EVGA parts.

The feeling of not being allowed to participate in a pre-order because I don't have elite would be gut-wrenching. So the only way I am making elite is via forum posts or I get a 30xx. :\

Rocking a 1080 FTW here with a Samsung JS9000 (curved UHD tv) and soon to be a Sony X90H (4k120/ATSC 3.0), so I am definitely into the same boat of "Need a dang GPU upgrade". I run out of VRAM before I can turn half the advanced items up in RDR2. I get very low FPS if in 4K anyway, so it's not playable atm. Regardless, I need DLSS and some good 4K gaming in my life. E:D is also just not the same without the power to run it.

I'm hoping that botters are too poor to snag all the 3090s.. and people in general are too poor to do so.. but people also spent $1500 on 2080Ti cards.. so who knows. I'm hoping I can just buy one on the 24th from an Auth Retailer. I'm assuming there's going to be some changes to the system after that crapshoot yesterday.

It's just dang tiring. At least let me order the dang thing. How many times have I ordered a new laptop and had to wait? It's not a big deal. I dunno why Nvidia et al is treating it as such.

While it would be a tough pill to swallow for you I am not sure of another way they could do it. But in reality I don't think you have to worry as the chance of any of this happening is close to zero. And really not upgrading for 5 years is a long time. I buy new EVGA stuff pretty much every year for 15 years now.

Well I have been a loyal supporter of EVGA for both Motherboards and Video Cards since back in the Nforce 680 days.
While I can understand both sides, I will say if I was given the opportunity to pre-purchase the 3090 FTW3 Ultra sooner I would be all over it in a heartbeat.

I think my chances at getting one when released are probably very slim.

It would be a nice way for EVGA to make “elite” be more than just an underused marketing/PR thing.

I know would certainly appreciate it and would buy. EVGA has been my go-to brand for years.

Even though the 3080 launch has mostly passed, 3080s and 3070s could also be included. Doesn’t need to be all stock, either. Could just be some. Anything fenced off mostly from the bots, scalpers, and miners would be appreciated.

Can anyone name one company, whether it be tech or game devs that actually care about their existing customers?  I can't think of any.  I only hear talk of bringing in new customers and they literally sh!t on their existing customer base.

Can anyone name one company, whether it be tech or game devs that actually care about their existing customers?  I can't think of any.  I only hear talk of bringing in new customers and they literally sh!t on their existing customer base.

Just because they want to bring in new customers doesn't mean they don't care about the existing customer base.

If you truly cared about a company, you would support the fact that they require new customers to keep growing and bringing out better quality products, better customer service, etc.

    I support business growth.

I totally understand what you mean.  If you follow that exact thinking and try to have a relationship with another human being you will die alone and miserable.  Business should be able to grow, but you shouldn't ignore the relationship you have to seek new ones if you want it to have any weight.  You can't have one loyal spouse and one with an eye for what else is out there and have a successful relationship, one will be miserable and start looking elsewhere like the other.

I'd say just adding two-factor verification would suffice for purchasing

Simple put EVGA does not care, they are getting paid either way so why should it matter to them...

There's a good chance that EVGA aren't allowed to give preferential sales, just like NVidia stopped any resellers doing pre-orders on the initial 3080 release. Kinda pointless getting angry at EVGA when every other company is operating the same way. It would be nice if EVGA could give preferential sales to existing 'l33t' customers (particularly since I have 7 pages of EVGA products that I bothered to register lol), but they'd be completely shooting themselves in the foot with any new customers by doing so, and I'm guessing margins are way too tight to take that kind of risk. If NVidia made enough supply to meet demand none of this would be an issue, but they ALWAYS under-supply, and severely so.

Who we should be angry at is EBay, Amazon, Newegg etc. for giving these scum-sucking lowlife scalpers a platform to sell their bot-gained cards. Start going on to their forums and showing your anger, at least it would be directed more appropriately.

    Agreed.

That is fair, but would be nice to get a confirmation from EVGA and some discourse on the issue.
