Bought a 2070 super and guess what, it makes audible clicking noises everytime the fans spin up. This is absolutely unacceptable and i can't believe that this hasn't been fixed yet.
No i don't want to install a program to keep my fans spinning at all times and no i don't want to fix my idle temps.

I will return the card and most likely never buy an EVGA card again.

My advice to you is to contact EVGA tech support.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I contacted the customer support as you have advised.

They were very friendly and knowledgeable indeed. Apparently i got an older model of the 2070 Super Black Series that still has this clicking issue. There is an option to get a custom firmware that will circumvent the clicking noise but i prefer to sent back the card and get something that works right off the bat (and is not from an older batch).

According to the customer support only the older cards with the HDB fans have this issue.

well then try the step up program from EVGA. I don't know all the details as I am new myself but I read that if you want a slightly more expensive card then all you have to do is pay the difference. like if the card you have is $400 and the one you want is $500, then all you will need to do is pay $100 to get the better card. plus return the old one of course.

a good teacher will not give you the answer you seek, they will help you learn as to why you had that problem and will guide you to the solution that works for it so you can pass the knowledge on.

I have a 2080ti FTW3 Gaming that produce a click every time the central fan spins up.
It does not bother me. Should I be worried? Is there any problem connected to this sound?
