Got mine yesterday. Still fiddling with parts. Where did you find the cable set in stock? Is it black? 

I've been very impressed with the build quality.
 





I got red and black cables they were in stock and I figured it would save me time over sleeving them myself.
I can't wait to get it all running but it will be a while still

What are people's thoughts on the Classified using the Killer NIC? I'm tempted to get the Classified over the FTW because the FTW has been out of stock for months now, but I've read TERRIBLE things about the Killer NIC that really scare me away.

What TERRIBLE Things?




I may have overdone it with the all caps, but a quick google search of Killer ethernet on reddit leads to many threads of people saying how they currently have a Killer NIC and will not be getting one again given the chance in their next build due to memory leak issues and issues playing nice with Windows 10, which requires frequent driver updates. They also mention that Killer tends to come with bloatware. I'm no expert on the subject, so I figured I would ask for this board's opinion given the volume of comments on it elsewhere.


I am like a page behind, but if someone is building pc's with all the components, installing an .inf isnt hard instead of whatever the setup utility might have.

I am happy - When I opened up the motherboard box -- there was the little plastic sack with the M.2 screw  :-)

My question is, do I need a new cpu cooler? I currently have the Corsair h100i, but wouldn't be upset if I had to switch to a new EVGA cooler.

An H100i Will work fine on this Motherboard.
I would use MX-4 when you upgrade.

Still on hold on Build- Not only was Micro Center out of Video cards (a topic already covered) 
BUT the only M.2 SSD they had were the Western Digital versions.
They should have the Samsung 960 Pro in on Monday ( the 512 ) still no 256 .

I found this and highlighted the one in the chart but it doesn't match? can I assume that is a typo? I think it should have been a 16GTZ and not a 64?

the screw I talked about before is  for the smaller Key ? M.2
the other M.2 screws are a lot smaller  (and watch out for cross threading as there is a little side loading from the M.2 SSD card)

small point in the manual page 27 installing memory
not much need for the cut n paste from page 12
showing the big number 4's going to each slot
at this point in the manual we need a double check on the SLOT numbers
 
If you zoom in there is a motherboard silkscreen to the left of the slots showing slots
 
Might just be me  but  I always seem to only have 2 memory sticks when I start a build

I have a question about the EVGA Z370 Classified K Motherboard after reading about Intel's HDR Support and 4K Blu-Ray playback.
 
When looking at the specification of the motherboard, it says HDMI 2.0 but nothing more. Is it just simply HDMI 2.0 or is it LSPCON HDMI 2.0a? Also, does the board support SGX? This motherboard was listed here by Intel:
 
It sure would be nice to get that HDR support for 4K Blu-Ray playback as I am trying to build the highest end PC I can with the appropriate support for 4K Blu-Ray on the Z370 platform and this looks like the motherboard to do it with.

Per our motherboard team, the Z370 Classified K does support HDMI 2.0a through a LSPCON chip.  4K UHD was confirmed to work on NETFLIX.
 
Still waiting on an answer regarding SGX.
 
Edit:  Our Z370 and Z270 motherboards support SGX via "Software Controlled": 



Awesome, that is great news!   That tells me I am on my way to watching 4K, HDR, 60fps Blu-Ray Discs on my computer.
