I have an EVGA X79 Dark, when i'm using it suddenly it got rebooted and keep showing code 19, but there is no post.  I thought it could be memory and tried just with 2 memory stick with same error.  I was reading that it could be corrupted BIOS and i changed the bios switch to the middle and it started working now.   How to get the BIOS fixed in the original BIOS that i was running earlier?  How come the bios got corrupted as  i'm not doing any bios update?  The board is not under warranty now.  Is it safe to run on the backup bios on a long run?  Do i have run my PC on this bios ?

    mmuthiah,

I can confirm that the Backup BIOS works the same as the original BIOS and can be used long term without concern.  You can try to hot flash the original BIOS if you should decide to by switching the BIOS carefully when the machine is running in windows and then flashing it.  Please understand that you need to be extremely careful when switching the BIOS not to touch anything else or have static build up on your hand.

+1, yes dont rush it and ruin it. I have a old round wooden paint brush handle that i notched for doing things specifically like this. It was from a small maybe 1/2" brush that was wrecked but the wood handle was perfect for this type of stuff so i kept that. Dont judge me, its the modder in me.

Thank you.  I have a ticket open with EVGA, although the board is out of 5 year warranty, EVGA support kind enough to send me a new BIOS which i'm getting next week.  Thank you for suggestions.   I saw a evga youtube video.
