Hello, have you get the BIOS Chip because the Support Team tell me they can't send me one?

I pay my Mobo in Jan 2012 and then it have two years warranty by EVGA. I have registered my Mobo too but that i can't understand.

As far as I know the standard warranty is three (3) years, when you register the product to the EVGA website, is possible to upgrade to five (5) or more years of warranty if you want, EVGA must give you a reason why no updated BIOS chip for you

Good news,
i send my BIOS Chip to EVGA and they update it and send it back.

Actually I just sent some information on where I live at and My motherboard serial number to EVGA North America and since I'm in their area(this was after registering the motherboard of course), they sent Me the Bios chip, the dot on the chip has to face up and be in the same corner as the arrow on the socket doors is at. Good luck.

I got the chip today, installed the new one like the old one was and put the old one in the bag the new one came in, now for a 4820K cpu in a few months.

How long did it take you to get it from the day you called them>?? i called yesterday, had my whole pc setup and now i have to wait  =( Luckily i have another pc so i put the my sli gtx  780 on those LOL

The whole process took a few days to get the chip here in a padded envelope by way of the US mail, EVGA seems to be in the San Gabriel CA area, I live near Barstow CA, so not too long.

anyone having fps issues with sli 780? im getting horrible numbers 30-60.

Interesting, that will help other users, Me I used a pair of needle nose pliers over a month back to install the bios chip, better than a DIP chip in some ways and the hatch keeps the chip safe and snug.

I have an Intel RS2BL080 RAID card 12.7.0-007 and have been trying to find a way to change the PCIe lanes to make it work on my x79 Classified. No matter what slot I put the card into it only worked 50% of the time. Sometimes the RAID config screen would come up, and sometimes it wouldn't. I knew it was some sort of BIOS issue in the way that it handled PCIe lane distribution or IRQ. Updated BIOS this morning after a long night of fighting with it and BAM, now its working. Saved me a whole day of work. Here's the build for future reference. 
 
BTW: This computer is meant to be a Network Video Recorder(NVR) for a small business

I ran into this problem on a similar ESXi white box build and remember having to change the IRQ settings for ESXi install iso file because it was conflicting with the on board ethernet port on the mb, not an easy task. A few long nights were spent on that one using perl scripts
