Finally after so long I have updated my bios... I quickly gave up after a few bioses after SZ27, SZ27F was ok but 27 seemed to run a bit better for me, and I just gave up and thought it isn't worth updating unless VT gets fixed, and finally VT is fixed and after skipping so many bios updates, I have an all in one fix, update roms, the ghost mouse/keyboard issue from SZ27 is finally gone, I love this updated thanks Jacob!

Thank you so much Jacob and EVGA! I really appreciate the work on the BIOS and the fix, which works for me.
I am going to do more testing, but it appears to be resolved.
You have scored huge points with me, kudos!

Try Disabling "Hpet support" and "run vga bios on resume" in the S3 options. Then adjust windows power options correctly for sleep mode. Then it should work fine. I've had a few problems with S3 not working, but I am always able to tweak it and make it work. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Thank you Jacob, and all of the EVGA bios team. This bios is the one to rule them all! Thank you for continuing to support the X58 platform. It's still the chipset of choice for me, because of feature set. You guys are amazing! Next up, EVGA X79 Classified *fingers crossed*. Just please make it 4 way capable (2x NF200, unless intel decides X79 is worthy of PCI-E 3.0, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen), EATX (or whatever you guys call the larger ATX, but not quite EATX) Just not XL-ATX. I can't wait for an X79 board that fits in an 8 slot case with 3x geforce cards plus room for an full sized RAID card. *please no more wasted slots on top like the E762*, an onboard X-Fi chip would save a slot too! Wishful thinking, I have no idea if it's possible to layout a PCB like that, but it sure would be awesome! Anyways, Thanks for bios 82!

Got myself a scare when I tried to flash the 82 BIOS. For some reason the AWDflash was not able to recognize my BIOS chip as the EEPROM info would not display on the flasher screen. Then immediatly I heard double beeps and a message saying insuffiscient memory. I ended up resetting the CMOS. Did a couple of reboots and finally managed to flash... This was weird.

Agreed. I've stayed away from all the latest BIOS releases because of this issue. I'm still on 59 where the throttling works great. I'm not having any issues at the moment, and not running SSDs in RAID, so it's not paramount for me to flash. But I usually like the latest BIOS on my machines. I leave this rig on 24/7 and the need for speedstep and voltage throttling is important to me. I like what I'm seeing from EVGA's BIOS team. The X58 is growing near EOL, and it's nice to see there are still rolling with the updates.

keteflips The E758_82.iso has no content Probably normal. How are you determining this? You won't see anything on the burned CD. The working stuff is all hidden in the bootable part of the CD. Take a look at the ISO with 7zip or some other archive-reading program. You should see something like "[boot]\Bootable_1.44M.img" OTOH, you may have a failed download. What's the file size? I see 1,529,856 bytes. I wish EVGA would post checksums for their downloads. Z.
