I guess you're right. The Version 2.0 of the RTX 30 Series Queue System prolly is the reason why.

they've changed the queue system to block any folks who already purchased any 30 series card from getting notis for anything they're still in queue for
 
so if you were queued for a kingpin and a 3070 and bought the 3070 last spring, you will not be getting a kingpin

So I got a 3090 FTW3 last year.. does that mean my queue spot for the X570 Dark is gone because I received a GPU last year?  If that's the case I will just go buy an ASUS Extreame when its out since its likely to have more stock and I doubt this board will ever be on Newegg at the price it is here.

i may be wrong, but i believe it only applies to 30 series GPUs. B stock purchases do not count towards the "quota"

I am hoping more will drop soon so I can sell this crappy ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero board and monoblock. (The monoblock is nice, but the board is typical ASUS junk.)
 

Meanwhile I'm perfectably happy on my ASUS Crosshair VI knowing I won't be upgrading to get Smart Access Memory or Resizable BAR since I cannot find a GPU even close to msrp.

The GPU availability thing is horrible and the ludicrous overpricing adds insult to injury. I feel very blessed to have been in the first wave of 3090 Kingpin GPU notifications and got mine before the prices sprialed even more out of control.

I know how you feel.  I wanted to change the OLED Display on my CH 8 Formula board last night but it would not let me without an Armory crate update.  Post update the OLED screen change works but now the RGB is on again for the board (won't turn off like it used to).. oh and I still need to shut down the Armory crate process or my CPU utilization goes to 20 with temps spiking to 80 C.
 
Its garbage has been since day 1 on my old 3950x CPU 2 years ago.. 
 
I wish I had gone Gigabyte for a board. 

Yes, ASUS bloat on any platform is deplorable. Whoever the imbecile was that thought their software suite, especially Amoury Crate, would be a good idea needs to be fired. They are the masters of rubbish.
 
This is on me, though. Totally my fault. The past three generations of ASUS mobos have been trash, headaches and inconvenience for me. The last two (X299 Rampage and Z490 Maximus) were replaced by EVGA Dark boards and I wrote off ASUS as an option. I knew better and purchased the Crosshair VIII Hero anyway. I am very disappointed with it overall. It is poorly made and severely overpriced. I should have gone with what I believed to be true based on personal experience; everything they do is trash.
