One important feature of the in-BIOS Stress Test is that you can stress test new overclocks without saving your settings first.  So, if you're running at stock and want to see what will happen at 4.0 Ghz, you can change your settings, then enable the stress test to see how those settings work without needing to save and reboot each time.

I ran OC robot a few times and the results weren't bad... I mean it can go up because there's thermal headroom on my setup (I think I have thermal headroom)

These are my results (7980xe delidded/der8auer direct-die frame/Conductonaut/Max PWR Fan/Max fan and pump on h115i)

    pretty neat

So I have ran a couple tests and I was wondering if this is expected behavior because it seems the OCs are a bit random, you'd think an auto overclock would be consistent. (made a video so you guys can see what I am talking about):

    0m 13 sec - 1m 8sec = Run 1 starts at 4ghz @1.110v / finishes at 4.8ghz @ 1.21v. Applied and rebooted.

1m 43sec = Run 2 starts at 4ghz @1.285v (why is the voltage higher than on the first run?)
1m 58sec = During Run 2 OC Robot hits 4.3ghz @ 1.360v and backs off (yellow triangle next to voltage reading)
    2m 8sec = Run 2 finishes at 4.2ghz @ 1.333v (much worse than Run 1) Applied and rebooted.

    2m 42sec - 3m 33sec = Run 3 starts at 4ghz @ 1.110v / finishes at 4.8ghz @ 1.210v (same as run 1 started a retest)
    3m 35sec - 4m 27sec= Run 4 starts at 4ghz @ 1.110v / finishes at 4.8ghz @ 1.210v (same as run 1+3, retested again)
    4m 31sec - 5m 21sec = Run 5 starts at 4ghz @ 1.109v / finishes at 4.8ghz @ 1.210v (same as run 1+3+4, applied and reboot)

    5m 57sec = Run 6 starts at 4ghz @ 1.285v
6m 11sec = During Run 2 OC Robot again (like Run 1) hits 4.3ghz @ 1.360v and backs off (yellow triangle next to voltage reading)
    6m 18sec = Run 6 finishes at 4.2ghz @ 1.333v

My question is, why does OC Robot sometimes start the voltage at 1.285v and sometimes at 1.110v. Is this expected behavior? Is there a way to set the starting voltage? Bug? Feature?

I know that this is for the Dark X299 Dark but are there plans for adding this functionality to the BIOS of the Z370 Classified K in the (near) future?

    Two questions I got

    a) I currently use 1.07 and have several profiles stored; when I flash new BIOS over it, will those profiles be deleted and I have to do it from scratch?
    b) Does the OC robot also adjust Mesh Clock and Voltage etc?

    Cheers

Just flash this one to bios position 3 so you have your 1.07 as a fall back. You will need to export your saved setups to a USB stick while in 1.07 (option is in the Save and Exit Tab) then import them when booted into the 1.08.

On my Dark I left the original bios on bios 1, flashed the 1.07 to Bios 2 and just put 1.08 on 3
And yes, there are 3 separate bios chips on the board

Works on mine. What do you have fast boot set at?
Are you doing a suspend to ram instead of doing a full shut down?

Turn off Fast Boot then Save/Reset, after that go back to the BIOS then turn on Fast Boot then Save /Reset.

A heads up guys in regards to your M.2 settings
The bios defaults the 80mm PM2 setting to PCH.
When flashing your bios unless you are using a previously saved setup make sure you go and change the PM2 from PCH to CPU (unless you are using the PE6 PCIe slot)

What happened to quiet mode that was in 1.07 and was removed in 1.08? I used quiet mode to prevent a splash screen and boot in text only mode as well as windows 10 booting into the default windows logo instead of the oem one. if that makes sense.
BTW love the bios update OC my CPU from 3500 MHZ to 4800 MHZ . :)
