I do wonder, when will the winners get their prize? after the June 27th release, or will they get lucky and get them a bit early?

Thanks EVGA! Long-time EVGA user -- feeling extremely privileged to have been chosen as a winner. Kudos to EVGA for being a company that gives back to its customers. Assuming there aren't any restrictions on review mediums and timing, I will happily post a video review of this.

I got mine about 1pm EST Playing Diablo 3 RoS trying to get used to it now. Awesome feel! NOT very clear where to get software for it....(maybe make it more obvious :) ) I found it after searching for 5 min. Adjusted the height already , having trouble flipping open weight compartment(afraid of breaking it) I registered the mouse but can I get the mouse pad for it for registering it?

Re: EVGA TORQ X10 Gaming Mouse Giveaway

I received my mouse yesterday evening and had a chance to try it out in Watch_Dogs. The packaging is very well done, if a bit plain on the front-facing side. Everything was where it should be and the box was easy enough to open. Removing the mouse and accompanying accessories/instructions was a breeze. I was admittedly disappointed that this was the plain version and not the carbon fiber, but I wasn't surprised and am still extremely grateful to EVGA for putting on a giveaway for their fans. Getting the mouse in hand for the very first time, I was surprised by the weight. It came stock with no additional weights installed and was already pretty hefty for such a little guy -- it felt quality. I would imagine that this can be attributed to the systems in place for raising and lowering the different surfaces of the mouse but I wouldn't be sure without taking it apart. Speaking of taking it apart, even after reviewing the instructions thoroughly (which were good, for the most part), I was not immediately aware that I needed to apply pressure towards the back of the mouse on the front panel before lifting it. I instead attempted to lift it straight up and eventually got it free after applying significant force and fearing that I had broken it. The instructions that I received only verbally called out the vertical coefficient of this process -- I would suggest making it much more apparent that you need to push this panel towards the back before (and while) lifting it off. Not doing so can result in a damaging of the components and systems within the mouse as folks attempt to yank the panel straight up. I believe there is a small arrow that indicates this required back pressure but I do not recall it being called out specifically in the text, which is a miss. I took the mouse into the computer room and plugged it into the additional USB port on my Logitech gaming keyboard and... nothing. No mouse movement whatsoever. I plugged my Logitech G9 back in and was instantly able to mouse around and click. Back to the TORQ -- nothing. After a few attempts I noticed that I was getting the "USB Underpowered" notification in the lower right corner of my screen. All that being said, please note that the power draw of this mouse is such that you may not be able to use a peripheral USB port and will more than likely have to plug it straight in to the back or front of your PC. I routed it directly to my PC and bingo, nice, smooth, plug-and-play mouse movement and functionality. That brings me to the cable. When I realized that I had to route the mouse's cabling all the way behind my desk to the back of my PC, I was pleased to find a generous length of high-quality, braided cord. The included cable tie was also great in tidying up the excess that remained. The USB plug itself looked and felt solid and fit neatly in line with the three other plugs already occupying the top ports on the back of my case. Raising and lowering the mouse was easy, although I'd have to say that I did not enjoy the feel of the mouse when the panels were raised away from the body due to the gaps created. Additionally, I encountered my first serious issue with the device in the "panel out," expanded configuration. Clicks were not registering. I plugged my G9 back in to test the same clicks across the tabs at the top of the mouse settings window in the control panel (Win 7) and there were no misses. After plugging the TORQ back in, I confirmed that several clicks were randomly not registering. Returning the body of the mouse to its fully-collapsed state, I was able to get 100% click registration once again. I cannot be sure if this was a fault of the poor instructions resulting in the force I applied to remove the front weight panel or the engineering of contacts as the surfaces expand out. Either way, it represented a serious concern from a gaming perspective if you prefer the expanded "palm swell" config. The main buttons on the mouse feel fantastic, no doubt due, in part, to the high quality Omron switches employed by EVGA. All of the mouse's control surfaces felt great, although I noticed a slight double click in the main, left mouse button. Note that I wasn't registering double clicks in the OS, it was just an extremely light click or tap that I could feel as I began to apply the first... 5% or so of pressure on the left mouse button before the actual click occurred. The side buttons on the mouse felt a bit less quality than the main buttons but performed nonetheless. I would argue that they might protrude a bit too much, resulting in miss-clicks. These miss-clicks were on the thumb side, but moreso on the opposite side. These buttons were disabled by default in the software but if I wanted to use them in a game for additional keybinds, I could see myself constantly clicking these by mistake. The mouse wheel felt fantastic with solid, beefy rotational increments, a great grip surface, and an excellent, solid click when the entire wheel was depressed. General operation of the sensor in game and out was smooth and precise, as to be expected. Whether in Watch_Dogs or Windows, once I nailed the DPI/sensitivity pairing, I was able to accurately navigate to and click on whatever I wanted, when I wanted. As someone already mentioned in this thread (on top of echoing my front panel removal difficulties), the software for the mouse was a bit hard to find. Clicking the software link on the bottom of the main TORQ information page took me to the generic software download page for EVGA driver and support acquisition. I selected "Other Products" from the tab at the top (which should realistically be a drop down and visually goes unnoticed until the user realizes that they cannot locate their mouse in the list of graphics cards within the "Family" drop down) and selected the Mouse in that category drop down. I saw software and utilities as an option while I was choosing mouse and wondered if I had it right, since it's a bit unclear that the "driver" for the mouse is the tuning software as well. The part number selections options of "All" or "Default" were confusing to say the least but I chose "All" given that EVGA is just making its forays into the mouse world and the TORQ was it. Choosing "Driver - Utilities" (since I was looking for the tuner program) in the next drop down gave me nothing upon clicking Submit. Choosing "All" or "Driver" gave me the link I wanted, although I wasn't sure how large the file was which would've helped me realize that it was the tuning software and not a tiny driver file. Once I had the software installed (which was painless and smooth), the experience was very straightforward and pleasant. Mapping any of the buttons to operating system commands was flawless and changing the LEDs for the wheel and back-lit logo (SEPARATELY, NICE!) was easy and fun. Having the additional option to control brightness was a nice touch and I found that setting it to the lowest brightness still gave me a great glow without being overbearing. I admittedly don't change my DPI settings once I find something that works well in Windows and in game, but having the options to rename and customize different profiles was easy and convenient. I tried out several different profiles in Watch_Dogs and found that they switched quickly and effectively. The watermark at the bottom of the screen indicating the profile was helpful while not being invasive. Altogether, EVGA's first go at a mouse is an excellent offering in the market. I can't speak to the carbon fiber version, having never handled it, but I can assume that it only adds to the high quality feel and appearance of the device. If there were no miss-clicks when the mouse was in its fully-expanded state and if the included (tiny, and separate) information pamphlets really hammered on the need to apply back-pressure while lifting the front weight panel, I would be giving this mouse top marks. As it stands, there seem to be a few quirks that could use ironing out. Please note that, as a winner of the contest, I was given an early production sample so I cannot speak to whether or not these issues have been remedied in latter iterations. Thanks again to EVGA for putting on the giveaway and congrats to all of the winners! If you didn't happen to win one of these in the contest, I would recommend that you consider picking one up for yourself -- you won't be disappointed! EDIT: I should mention, also, that I'm aware of the fact that my gaming test is very limited, being only Watch_Dogs as of right now. As I have more time, I will be using the mouse in Arma 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 4, and other titles, after which I will edit this review.

Vaelaar - nice write up and thank you for sharing your experiences. Sounds like, save a few challenges, it is a pretty good first go at a high quality gaming mouse. I, too, have the G9 and have been very happy with it but am interested in seeing what else is out there.

related to ease of finding stuff, can you add a "peripherals" section in the links under "products" on the forums? there's a link on the main site, and on the store, but not the forums yet that'll take you to the mice.

It's the standard plastic model, at least that's what I got.

So this 'free' mouse isn't so free when you have to pay a hidden charge of £25 is it? This is something that should have been stated on the site and I have never had to pay to receive any parcels from the USA or any other country. What's the deal here? £25 import charge to the UK according to UPS, I am very disappointed we was not told about this at all. Really annoying.
