Yeah, my bank called me to verify the purchase on my credit card. I appreciate the fraud check.

Yeah. I pulled the pin. Had to get rid of that extra 980 I had hanging around. About 25% off against the Canadian list price. The $100 for shipping was a bit of a shock, though...

I used a Visa credit card. It flipped to Verified by Visa (which I would expect) and then it looked like the card was declined. Then my cell bhone went off and it was my bank calling to warn me of suspicious activity on my account. I verified the purchase with them and pressed "Submit" again, hoping my Visa card would not be charged twice (then this conversation would be VERY different in tone!). The purchase went through just fine.

Are these prepaid shipping labels for the RMA or are we eating the cost of that in addition to not having a graphics card for a couple weeks?

Arend just to clarify, the price shown is that with the discount calculated or not.
The price shown when you pay for the upgrade is the actual final price, including discounts and credit. You will be shown the total before you submit payment.

Exactly my thought, my dual 980ti classified SLI actually performs slightly better than a RTX2080, would actually need a TI for it to be a performance upgrade. At this point it would only be a noise and power consumption improvement. That said i could probably get about 300-350$cad each for them still then put THAT towards a 2080ti, but then i would not get the financing to lessen the impact of that price tag.

Are you sure you are on the right page? You want to submit a request at: https://www.evga.com/articles/01339/upgrade-to-20-series/. Under the "Step 3" section there is a dropdown list where you would select the new RTX card you would like to purchase.

Unfortunately not. You can only apply one older card towards one new RTX card.

Yesterday I am pretty sure I saw a B-stock 980 with a 1 year warranty for $199.99 so I wouldn’t think people would buy from Craigslist without a warranty. Of course that is just a midweek madness sale though.

I understand the disappointment of not having the ti models, but I don't think most of the people here actually looked at the pricing. Sure the credit is only $100-150, but the prices they are discounting from are pretty low. For instance they have the RTX 2080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming at $700 so with my trade in credit of $150 it drops to $550 vs their price online of $870. A steal compared to what it normally goes for, and I do not have to mess with the Craigslist/Ebay BS. I think it is a solid deal. This is the opportunity I have been looking for to upgrade. Not sure why you would look at AMD with prices this good considering even the 2080 beats AMD's top card, and won't do much in the way of G-sync or Ray Tracing (Even if it is fringe).

Some might not think about it but you do get a 3 Year Warranty to go with it. Most likely not able to use the Step-Up Program on the Trade in but still a new 3 Year Warranty and a new card.

The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. Agreed. I've had a 770 hanging around without a home or use for it. The discount on the 2080 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid combined with the credit for my old card is too good to pass up.
