Gen 3 on PCI is broke on all slots except slot one
 

INSIGHT ON SAS ARRAY INSTABILITY:

It's not a fix, but I can now point to the issue, please follow the bouncing ball:

Raid array in Sas gets blown away anytime you open board bios, or have to do any tricky reset.

Observations:
If you open board bios (bios 17-20, .08,) your only choice to exit bios screen is "save and reset".

There is no "save and exit"

If you select "save" and the manually use the reset button on case/board to exit / restart - then any changes one made are preserved and array is also preserved and the array survives.

If you use your only bios exit "save and reset" you blow away the Sas array every time.  So there is no way to save and exit like normal.

What happened to "save and exit"?

So, the bios exit, is blowing away the array- please fix this ASAP !

Replace the "save and reset" with a normal "save and exit" functionality.

Never never reset the Sas array!
Who came up with that???   ;)

Well ... before it worked better!

My USB ports spin. USB 3.0 card reader is not detected.
When copying the sound of my consumed Creative ZXR.

The bios I can not update (not windows and not dos).
Whatever the reason ... you want to leave me a bios chip to come.

And best of all: after a few bios changes I get no bios image more ... only the word "A9" ... not more!

i have only one sr-x board and this is my working system.

just tested turbo enabled with Es cpu 

 
I wait finish my backup of raid ( safety) to test on raid sas port
I wait new dvd win8.1 pro 64b for full test in few day ( wait new ssd in raid 0 )
in few time I post bios screen
 
I have just send my other cpu  at my friend to test on dark  with last bios , hope turbo at full time 30x or 31x
 
this bios nice flash in bios mode  just ad name of bios on mu usb bootdisk 0.08

updated bios to 1.01:
1) soft reset\reboot issue fixed
2) turbo mode enabled
3) all 4 my Titan GTX work  (slot1 - gen2.0x16, slot3 - gen3.0x16, slot5 - gen3.0x8, slot7 - gen3.0x8
 
don't have sas drives now and can't test sas raid

test with basic usb mouse  no problem
 
in progress test with aida hw for turbo enabled performance  and cinebench
 
for sas raid  test report to have a second raid ok from other SRX

test with cinebech ( sorry is in french)
at start test all multi at 27x and after pass to 30x 31x maximum on 3 cores , not fast to capture screen with 3 cores at 31x

In attempting to not use onboard broken sas, I tried an LSi 9271 raid card with latest firmware
***in bios 19 and 20 its usable***
but in bios .08 and 1.01 it does not get past the bios loader, broken
please make notes accordingly so that it can be addressed in next bios update. need LSI 9271 to work

3x LSI 9265-8i are detected (Bios 19, 20, 0.08, 1.01)

the bios 1.01 normaly no problem with sas card add
 
the problem is with sas port from C606D in my case
chek in other slot pcie to make sas card ? verify in bios if slot is on pcie gen2

In the bios 1.01 I have the following problems.

b9 - ok / possible here is the error
SA - missing

there is no beep, no screen, no nothing.

I turn the computer off and back on several times, this then starts sometime ...

Then wanted to install Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.
I have set in the bios the needed settings.

He goes through the installation, but when the computer is restarted moment during the installation, the following message appears:

The PC needs to be repaired.

when bios flash complete have you make a reset before to start ?
I have now all my 4 SRX in bios 1.01 and nothing problem with flash and boot
 
SRX  10C ES normaly two cpu  one send to my friend to make some test on dark
SRX 2x 2609 oem all run fine sas ok
SRX 2x 2620 oem all run fine  no sas port used  in this case
SRX 1x 2687W  the 2 cpu is on  Z9D8 form friend use dual in ws use profesional with soft cad 3D
 
try for test one  12C never boot in all MB tested on  dual and single MB and I have a lot panel in my home
cpu dead returned in  UK vendor
