Hi all,
Does anyone have information pertaining to when the Hydro Copper 3080 or Hydro Copper 3090 will be purchasable? I've seen that the Hybrid 3090 will be late October, but I haven't seen any information with respect to the Hydro Copper variants.
Also, does anyone know if the Hydro Copper variants will be 2x8 Pin or 3x8?
Thanks for any information.
Cheers.

Count me in the group waiting on the HC models...wonder how much they'll cost over MSRP for a founders edition.

    Jacob,

    Two quick questions related to the HC I think many people are asking;

1 - Is the timeline the same for the standalone HC block?
2 - How are you addressing the issue of dealing with cooling the memory chips on the backside of the 3090 PCB? Its my understanding the base 3090 FTW3 for example has a heat pipe and cold plate combo on the back of the 3090 but once removed & replaced with the HC block what is your plan / design to keep the chips cool?

I'm excited to get the RTX 3080 Hydro Copper! Will be my personal card for a long time! I'm a little concerned with the insane 3x 8-pin PCIe power cables though.
Going to have to get some really nice sleeve extensions. I super love the design on these 30 series hydro copper's, I'll have to vertical mount mine!

They usually do sell the Hydro Copper separately as well so I don't see why they wouldn't this time but a confirmation would help.

Saw on twitter from Jacob that standalone HC Blocks are still TBD, I couldn't confirm 100% if that was simply just referring to the release date or if they'd actually sell the block separately or not, but I got the impression it was the latter unfortunately.

I'd like an air cooler just in case I want to reuse the GPU for a different system, so it's a bit worrying at the moment.

How much cooler are these usually are? Is it worth waiting for this or to try to get a ftw3?

I have the HC 2080 TI in its own loop with a 2130 OC I run at 43 C when at 98% util. I am not sure how that will compare to the 3090 but I think that is pretty good.

I have the same concern after seeing the same tweet. I have an Amazon order for the EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra that is going to be delivered by mid-October. My plan is to also watercool it and have the air cooler available if I decide to ever move it to my second PC which is air cooled.

I would like to purchase a HC block for my EVGA card separately.

Hey guys quick question on the HC version - it's been a few generations since I bought one of these, do these usually have higher power / voltage limits?

Is there going to be different BIOS with different power limits or is this going to be a pointless "feature"?

It would be crazy not to offer the HC block separately. The same block should fit both the 3080 FTW3 and 3090 FTW3.

I really think they will be selling one separately but that might come at a later time.  Worst case scenario, there's always 3rd party block mfgers.

Yeah at this stage of production and trying to keep up with demand HC block is very likely on the backburner. When production stabilizes and they dont have to worry about the site imploding due to demand they will start selling other items.

I'm in the market for this as well if I can actually get through the checkout process on the EVGA store when it comes out because I am overkill watercooling on X299 Dark, Intel 7920X and a 1600W EVGA PSU. But at least what they could do is show us some more pictures of the 3090 Hydro Copper while we wait.

Stay tuned for more info on this! Still several weeks out. For the HC we will have both 3x8Pin (FTW) and 2x8Pin (XC)

As long as that confirms that I can buy a HC and it'll be compatible with after buying either a FTW or XC I'll buy myself a EVGA 3080 FTW or XC.

Compatibility is going to be a question with regards to FTW3 and even XC3 PCB's though, as they're both not reference afaik. Between the question of whether the HC block will be sold separately or not, and the fact that (at least for us in the EU) The store prices are super inflated with VAT inc/exc, I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to get a card from EVGA anymore.
