algaceburator For some reason I can’t control fans on my rtx 2080ti. Whatever I set for my fans settings it just doesn’t work. My fans on idle 1300rpm and takes zero effect if I set them to 0 or anything else.
What Model of the RTX 2080 Ti ?
I use Zotac 2080TI AMP

Honestly folks I can't believe you're surprised this beta doesn't work. EVGA is selling new hardware and once again they have dropped the ball with support. Oh I know I am about to hear they're doing their best and it's in beta and the hardware's new. Let's be honest here, EVGA has known what the hardware is for months, but they are not capable of writing software for Windows machines. Obviously they do not have the right people anymore to accomplish this task. How hard is it to develop a piece of software that controls fans and overclock? Unwinder has been very successful with Afterburner for years because he understands development and support. And EVGA used to have a handle on this, but the wheels are off now. I think a fair expectation would have been software ready on day one when cards started shipping. So, here we are and the beta is another fail. It's the same old software wrapped in a pretty gui because guess what? Precision used to be a stable reliable piece of software, but not anymore. The outlook for Precision X is bleak and as I have said before I won't be buying anymore EVGA hardware until I see this issue resolved. And where is the GTX support? Oh sure it's coming soon. Complete with profiles that won't save and software that unloads while you're gaming leaving your fan controller at zero and your card at 90 degrees celcius. A fair thing would be for one of you folks from EVGA to at least admit there's a general problem here. There's an issue with the development of Precision that is not being addressed. Inform your users and fix the problem.

EVGA_JacobF Version 0.2.6 is up now with a fix for the firmware issue.
Does not appear to have fix the issue with FE cards. LED on my card still won't turn on. Seeing this issue reported on other boards as well. Every major Youtube review site I've watched is using this software to OC their FE cards, which is not coincidental as Jayztwocents said that Nvidia sent it to reviewers with the media review kit. If Nvidia co-developed it and endorses it, it shouldn't break basic functionality with FE cards.

Ok so my zotac 2080ti amp run 1300rpm speed as lowest. It’s impossible to get lower than that. Fan curve worked on msi afterburner beta but the lowest rpm is 1300. This is how they set. Nvm is ok for me they work surprisingly quite and keep 30 degrees at idle. Full load I hit around 60 degrees. I manage to oc little bit and hit 24376 score in fire strike 1.1.

Is the Tool that Zotac Provides Working? Fan control (firmware) is had to manage between OEMs.

You are absolutely correct! I have an EVGA GTX 1080 TI FTW3 Hybrid and also the 280 cooler, and both Precision and Flow are absolutely terrible, buggy software! Suffice to say, I won't be buying another EVGA hardware product until they get their act together with software which is suppose to support it. I actually use MSI Afterburner for OSD monitoring, CPU, GPU, RAM, etc., and it works flawless. If I didn't need the fan control for the Hybrid I wouldn't even have Precision installed! Thanks.

I use Beta version of msi afterburner and it works fine. I oc card slightly for now and is all perfect. The only problem all fans never go idle. They spin at lowest 1300 rpm this is how they designed. My idle temps 30 degrees. My max temps around 60 degrees and fans hit 2500rpm. As I said earlier I hit 24376 score with fire strike 1.1. I will oc more later. Since I use 2700x cpu I can’t do much hitting greatest scores. My friend after delidding hes 7920x and oc to 4.8ghz. He hits 25682 with 1080ti oc. I love 2700x is great cpu for gaming and work load but is not the best choice if you want crazy oc...

I don't think this is an appropriate response in light of what we are discussing. We are talking about EVGA GPU software -- Precision XOC and X1. The software doesn't work. It's appropriate to the topic. It's on topic. It's salient. Further how about you start addressing our issues instead of getting mad and searching for some obscure reason to call out our posts. How about one of you mods admit that we are right and that the software has issues? And give us the plan that EVGA has to address these issues.

Lol, it’s fine. I don’t really have to post it here anymore. Since I found solution with msi afterburner.

I'm a big EVGA Fan, but I had never luck with Precision. Now with my 2080ti, i tried X1 and very disappointed. Settings doesn't save, OSD doesn't work... Perhaps I do somethink wrong, but with AF I have non of this problems.

Everything seems to be working fine in X1 for me, the OC scanner doesn't do a very good job but I was able to manually overclock and do fan control, save settings, osd works, etc. To save a profile right click on one of the number on the right side. Still not sure I understand everything about the interface (like the purpose of the LED button on the right), but if anyone has any questions on how to use it ask and I can try to help. This video might help, covers the overclocking interface: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpmDa5VetME

Bit dodgy this Beta! X1 set my fans on my 2080ti to 0%. Didn’t notice until I smelt some dodgy burning smell coming from the case! Luckily I had a temp monitoring app open and I don’t believe the GPU went over 81c. Also the save profiles don’t work so whenever I restart the computer the fans are back to 0%. I’ve tried everything to get the profiles to save and nada! Even though I get a higher OC and OC score on X1 I’ve changed to the competing app as I don’t want my £1200 GPU to fry! Edit: - I've come to realise it must be the cards bios setting the card to 0% fan speed by default! I'm not impressed. Not sure what to do?
