I have verified both the primary and alternate download works. If you have not done dos clear your browser cache and cookies then restart the browser and try again.

You can also download it at guru3d.com and techspot.com.

Right click on BF4 in Origin, set startup as bf4x86.exe (default is 64bit).  OSD works for me now, game runs and looks the same to me...

Why would I want to run my game @ 32bit just to see OSD? I run my OS @ 64bit & BF4 is meant to be played @ 64bit with more memory, the question is when EVGA getting an update to this issue? We are still waiting........

Yes with little more voltages for 780 Classified. 0.015V that monster can't feel at all.
I mean at least 0.100V difference should be available. That's less than Afterburner option for stock Radeon.
I head years option 1.162V-1.300V or 1.175-1300V with afterburner plus Aux mV voltage on some cards.
1.162-1.200V is nothing for such cards. I mean example 1.250V that is not too much can't influence on selling EVBot but can mean difference between gaming stability. Voltage Controller is useful for gaming.

I don't know if it's a lost hope or not.  I guess it may depend on how bad EVGA want's to make it happen...

Either EVGA PrecisionX or MSI Afterburner can be used.  The same guy makes both.  It's really a matter of personal preference on which to use.  I personally like PrecX.  Maybe only because of so many different custom skins people like Drerex make for it...

I believe it will only work on x86 mode since the rivatuner statistics server does not support 64 bit applications.

when starting up evga precision 4.2.1 for the first time,  this tool shows my  gpu clock is set at 324 Mhz and 962 mV but i use a gtx 650 ti boost 1 gig superclocked so these stats are well under my default clocks
do i have to change to the default clocks myself ?? i found it it's because my card is not under load if i'm correct

Hi,

After the NVIDIA 331.82 drivers, for some reason the Precision X 4.2.1 frame rate target does not save. Everytime I start the computer I have to start precision X and manually set the frame rate target to the value which I set prior. Is this normal? I am pretty sure that before I did not even need to make a profile, just what ever setting I used during my last session with precision X just stuck and it would be there the next time I start it. Now each time I start the precision X I need to set the values for frame rate target. Is this how it is supposed to be?

That's correct.  324MHz is the "idle state" clock speed.  So with no load that's normal.  It will dynamically increase depending on the load on the GPU.

Hi & Welcome to the Forums...

When you open PrecX, look for the box next to where it says "Start Up".  Make sure you have this box checked or highlighted.  If you don't, it will load defaults everytime you boot up.

If that isn't the problem, then uninstall the Riva Tuner 1st, then PrecX.  Make sure to answer "NO" when asked to save any data or profiles etc..  Then "Reboot".  Once back into Windows, reinstall PrecX with Riva Tuner if you use it.

Hi bdary,

Thanks for the response. Okay checking the box for startup does not seem to save the settings each time I start the PC. I guess I will reinstall the Precision X and RTSS. Question, when I install it, do I need to install RTSS in order to use the Frame Rate Target Feature of the Precision X?

NP, happy to help...

I'm not sure about Frame rate target needing it, but I'm thinking yes.  Of course any OSD needs it whether you use PrecX, AB, or even Aida, etc...

Let us know how it turns out...

I am trying to decrease the clock speed on an NVIDIA geforce 9800 GX2 but the EVGA Precision program only allows me to increase it. I can't go any lower than 600 MHz on the core and 1000MHz on the memory. Why is that?

If anyone wonder why, it is because I want to decrease the heat generated from it and thus decrease the fan speed.

Does anyone know how to underclock this old card?

Have you tried the last "Legacy" version of Precision (v2.1.2)??  You can find it in Support > EVGA Software > EVGA PrecisionX > Click Software > Click Precision Legacy > Then click "Download Precision Legacy.  See if that works for you.  I tried supplying the link, but for some reason it's not letting me...

I solved the problem by installing the 4.2.0 version of Precision. I have downloaded the legacy version also and will try it out tomorrow. BTW Thanks for the advice and link bdary!

Re:EVGA Precision X 4.2.1 Released 2013/12/15 03:08:48 (permalink)
I've just replaced my trusty 2 year-old EVGA GTS 450 with an EVGA GTX 660 3GB Superclocked+ (P/N: 03G-P4-2666-KR), only to find out that my frame rates in some spots in the game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (and a few other 3D applications) actually got lower. I then noticed on EVGA Precision X v4.2.1.2143 that while the game was running the GPU was clocked at only ~700-800 MHz and the actual power used hovered around 50%. Temps never got higher than 60 celsius at load so that was not the issue.

Knowing this was due to the fact that Wolf:ET is an old game and, most importantly, that NVIDIA's 600 series are plagued by the wretched GPU boost "feature", I tried using the K-Boost feature on Precision X to stop the card from downclocking. Unfortunately, it had no effect whatsoever, not even after restarting the computer (which should not be necessary with that version).

So a few hours ago I wrote EVGA's support asking about it and they just sent me the following reply:

Hello

Unfortunately the developer of this software has announced that he has no plans to provide 64 bit support at this time. Once the demand for this type of software is needed it will be developed. However at this time it is felt that EVGA Precision will be 32 bit only at this time. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused.
Regards

EVGA

I found the answer confusing at least, because setting the power target, setting the GPU and the memory clock offsets, saving profiles, etc., works just fine (I'm on XP 64). Maybe the person who replied was referring to the RivaTuner Statistic Server, which only works on 32-bit OS's? And if he was, is K-Boost linked to RTSS and so unavailable for people on 64-bit OS's? I find this quite strange because I'm pretty sure I've seen quite a few posts by people using K-Boost and 64-bit OS's.
