Hi can someone tell me how to set the frame rate target to 144 instead of the default maximum of 120 please in Precision X.

It refuses to go higher then 120, as soon as I press enter it goes right back to 120.

after pressing "OK" it stayed at 144 for me as you see on this pic.

I just tested on my home computer, and was able to set the Frame Rate Target to whatever number I wanted, from 60 to 200 after hitting OK. I would suggest you try uninstalling and reinstalling Precision and see if that helps at all.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didn't help :(
I have set the framerate limit in RivaTuner to 144 let's see if that works instead.

I uninstalled RT, and am still stuck with a max framerate of 120 :(

Why don't you just use vsync or adaptive vsync from the NVCPL? That will allow your GPU(s) to go up to 144 without exceeding it. Before I got my Gsync monitor, I used adaptive vsync. Much better than standard vsync in my opinion.

Adaptive Vsync isn't enabled by default. It has to be manually selected. For any game you want Adaptive Vsync enabled, you need to go in the NVCPL and for each game profile, set Adaptive vsync. Once you do that it should not allow your FPS to exceed your monitors refresh rate. If it still does, you have something wrong in your setup or some conflicting software running. You might want to go to your global settings tab and click "Restore" to set everything back to default. Then go in the Program settings tab and follow the above to use Adaptive Vsync. As far as you finding "Framerate Limiter", is that in the Riva Tuner?? If so, and you're trying to run that along with PrecX, then you're going to have issue's.

Before I try what you said I just have a quick question. How is using adaptive vsync different from using a framerate limiter? Are they the same thing?

They are basically the same thing. With Adaptive, when your FPS reach the monitor refresh rate, Adaptive vsync kicks in to maintain your refresh rate. As soon as your system can't maintain the refresh rate, Adaptive vysnc turns off and allows your system to push whatever it's capable of up to your refresh rate again.
