will it be possible to use a noctua nh-c14 and not interfere with the pcie video card?

That is a pretty big heatsink to use.  I know there is a good chance that a 120mm flower heatsink will work.  But a 140mm laid-down square heatsink?  You may have to wait and see, or find out the hard way and try it yourself.

At the news of the dealy I guess I'm glad I went with the SR-2 route instead of the dual ITX...   Oh well.  If I decide to go from X79 to this November would be the time frame I could do it.  Can't complain to much tho.  I would hope the remodel is an improvement and not a reduction of component quality for price reasons.

:(. Really looking forward to this. I ordered a custom case from danger den just for it. Its there 450w lan lengthened so a push pull 240 rad and a gtx690 will fit. Regular power supply and one solid state.. Will post pics when put together..

Well, I wish this wasn't the case but I want to make sure everyone is up to date on the latest happenings on this so I have some unfortunate news...

The board unfortunately will not be available in October, the PCB needed a change and unfortunately when this is required it can delay the schedule quite a bit.

Right now we are looking at November, but obviously we are doing everything we can to pull it in sooner.

very sad panda this has been pushed back to this point ...

I'm pretty sure EVGA's target audience for their miniITX hasn't been keeping up with this thread, they aren't waiting for EVGA, per se.  Even if everyone that's been bumping up this thread move on, it won't hurt them.  At least I'm certain active members of this forum don't represent everyone else.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

I hope it's big enough with my ocz PSU. Damn don't want to get new PSU just for this case, but I could modify it if needed.

I have all the parts to build it ready right now! Just waiting on mobo.  But since its been delayed so much, I have been debating just waiting a little longer and getting the next gen cpu and board haha.

With a next gen CPU, you would then need to upgrade the BIOS.  And isn't the next gen CPU suppose to be on a new socket?

There was no BIOS update for the LGA1156 to take Sandy Bridge processors, the land grid array pinouts don't match up between both sockets (scroll midway to colorful diagram).  It will be the same situation for Haswell in LGA1150.  That said, there is a reason Core 2 reused LGA775: The PCIe and RAM controller infrastructure outside the CPU didn't change .  But from Nehalem on up, it did, thus change of socket per new architecture that integrates more external parts on-die.

Thought it was.  Got a lot on my mind and it was still early for me.

I love DD cases.  I have a empty DDT29 at the moment.  I just sold my two Xeon hexacores from my SR-2 parts I bought so I may endup going back to the dual ITX route again... by the time I get around to that build again this mobo may be out and I'll be in for two of them hopefully.
