Are all the EVGA laptop owners kind of left hanging in a dark cold closet?  Where do I get support/parts when it runs out of service?

Ebay, Alibaba, AliExpress, Craigslist, the usual scumbags. We are mostly on our own when the warranty expires.

I guess I will stick with HP/Dell, the usual inside the box thinkers, when it comes to laptops from now on.  Just kind of pisses me off we don't even get a forum channel anymore.

I've changed to CLEVO after the disapointment with ECGA SC17 (GTX980M) and I'm quite happy with my choice. Lot of customizations posible, opened and working settings for ventilators, lot of forum to get informations about CLEVO and easy to find schematics and manuals (including electronics diagrams).
Anyway EVGA laptops is gone for me.

I feel the same i have the sc 17 1070 love it but feel disapointed they killed the laptop forum section i got my sc17 from the box.co.uk as a replacement for my ASUS after there year of hell as there repair company cant fix (Deleted for Foul Language) no matter how many times they tryed but just a shame it has no thunder bolt or a second nvme slot or even a 512 not 256Gb but overall a bloody good laptop.

I am pretty sure that EVGA laptops are gone for everyone.  ...because EVGA doesn't make them or sell them anymore.

Despite the issues i've had, im still very glad i bought my SC17. I really rather enjoy this laptop. It is regrettable that EVGA has decided to end this little experiment, but understandable given all the issues they had. Still, id like to see another one come out, maybe a customized Clevo design with EVGA making a GPU module for it or something.

I think a lot of it was the bulk discounts a vendor can get if they order a massive amount of product. You can bet HP and Dell get a discount ordering thousands of the same keyboards for everything in the 17" lineup and then a smaller keyboard for the 15" lineup. Very few laptops are going to have a custom part for it with most of those getting the same custom part across the lineup.

So how is the warranty process working with these now? Are they repairing them and stocking parts for the warranty, but just not for consumers?

Mine is still under warranty and the metal frame around my keyboard is bowing out above the keys making the middle keys unusable. I've got a support request in, but was just looking for any experience. I really like this laptop and was hoping it would last for a while!
