Q5Grafxin GeForce Experience I get the bridge to light up and stay lit but no effects. I am assuming that since my 780 sc ACX cards have no leds that this is why the bridge only lights up but no effects.

Is this true? Do the effects work with the ACX cards or not?

ACX cards do not have controllable leds. Only the reference Cards with NVidia on the side.

I know ACX cards have no LEDs; I have two of them. My question refers to the SLI bridge effects.

So basically no love for my 760's? :(   I may not be a "high roller" in the PC community, but I would think after spending $640 on GPU's, the bridge would illuminate. Not exactly a cheap bridge either.

I have two 780 SC ACX cards; will the effects SLI bridge lighting effects work on them?

Scotty Mac, it says that it doesn't work unfortunately.

I have not seen a post saying that the effects work on the bridge, that the bridge either lights up or it doesn't. Past that, look through the SLI bridge forum post and as far as I remember, you see the exact same thing.

P. S. That topic is 32 pages long. If you don't want to read through, then you may not get the answers. If you do, I can almost bet that every answer is in there.

I have an EVGA GeForce GTX770 SuperClocked 02G-P4-2771-KR. I see that the card has an area that can me lit up but it doesn't. I followed the guide properly and rab everything as Administrator as well. Driver are 335.23 from nVidia's site. Latest Precision X. The LED controller does nothing.

Don't tell me I don't have the LED!

Question...  Do you have the SLI Bridge?  The LED that the LED Controller is meant for, says GEFORCE GTX on a stock cooler.. You do not have a stock cooler, meaning you do not have the Built in GEFORCE GTX LED.

Unless you abolutely have the SLI Bridge, then you ABSOLUTELY do NOT have the LED that the controller is referring to.  Please Verify that your card is the one on the left (Black cooler), and not the one with the one of the right (Silver cooler).

So, Nvidia experience will make the bridge lights come on, but on the EVGA software you can get more effects? That sum it up?

Geforce experience allows both the LED's on the cards to light up and be customized......same with the EVGA Pro bridge too.

Lately i switched from Precison X to MSI, then install EVGA LED Controller 1.2.1 - noticed strange behavior causing lower GPU performance. Unistalling LED solve the problem. It's interfering with MSI or sth?

I see this is an old thread, but I just grabbed an EVGA GTX 770 4GB Classified and am quite annoyed by this bright white light on the side which serves no real purpose and I cannot control it (or so it seems). Why would anyone want such a light on the side of their GPU? Also, a follow up noob question, what is the plug directly next to the lights? Not the SLI attachments, but some other little plug with 10-12 pins. If anyone can help me out here that would be great, I hate to have spent nearly 500$ on a card that is so great but completely detracts from my overall system theme.

Welcome to the forum....those lights are not able to be turned off or dimmed.  Some people who don't like them either cover them up with some tape or take a marker and color them to dim them.  Keep in mind, anything you do needs to be reversible as it would void your warranty if you would ever need to RMA card.  These LEDs have been around since the 680 Classified and has become a Classified signature just like on MSI's Lightning cards.  Technically the lights are not pointless, they do serve a purpose.  Each one of the 5 LEDs is a tied to a voltage point on the PCB.  If one of the LEDs was not lit, it possibly would mean there is an issue with some component on the card.  If all are lit, everything is functioning properly.

Regarding the additional plug, that is for a Probe-It connector.  It is a small harness that can be used to directly monitor voltages for various items on the card with a digital multimeter (DMM).  The link below will take you to the product page.

Hey Trabe3,
Thanks for the response. I figured out about the probe it, that is pretty cool. As far as the LEDs go, I am going to commission a custom back-plate with a lip over the edge I guess, I cannot bear to put tape on this card :P . Maybe EVGA should think about moving the LEDs and changing their colors, they could perform the same task with out being an eyesore. Oh well. Again, thank you.

For the next software update can we get it to not show as an open program?  Would like it to just reside in the taskbar

Changing the color and location wouldn't be optimal, as these cards are meant for extreme overclocking, and the lights are meant to be easily seen through the LN2 gas steam and such. The placement has been in the same place for multiple generations now, and the only people that have a complaint are the ones that don't have an interest in extreme overclocking. Others just accept the lights or cover them.

The backplate sounds like a cool idea. Please share photos when complete.

I've used this software to create ground fx lighting on my case.   I soldered directly to the 12v lines for LED's and wired them to two 12v light strips and have control over the led's via the software.   It works wonderful.   I would like for you to add a option if its not too much to ask.    Strobe effect.  I'd like to cycle between 0 and 100% and enable the slider to control the strobe speed.   If this is possible it would look amazing.  Attached are pictures of the software working.   Strobe effect would just put it over the top for me.

Now that what I call thinking outside the box !         People like you makes coming here enjoyable.   Hope they heed your request, very good IDEA !

Am I missing something? I have an EVA GTX 780 6gb Card and I can not seem to get it to illuminate at all either through this program or Geforce Experience. Any help would be appreciated as I am quite new to the whole line of cards.

Is it possible to use an SLI bridge on a EVGA 980 Hydro Copper, and a EVGA 980 SC? (I've heard it said that the Hydro and the SC are the same card, just cooled differently. In other words, are the EVGA line of 980s, able to be mixed in an SLI configuration?

This is awesome to hear, just to have the option to adjust along with my cards is cool.  Now the next option is an RGB option lol

Thank you Evga!
