Hello
I am planning to purchase EVGA hybrid cooler for my gtx 1080. I plan to install the Rad on the left side of the case. I know the tub length on the hybrid kit is around 400mm . I measure the length between the left case fully opened and the graphic card is greater than 400mm ( using clothing ruler) . So i guess the hyrbid kit is not for me if i want to install it that way. It also seem like the tub length is not long enough for the right case position either. Can anyone that have evga hybrid kit and also is owning DG-87 answer me ?

i really think that they sould make some kind of mount to attach to the reservoir holder. it should reach to that but again i dont know how you'll mount to it.

    My set up is: H115i 280mm Top (Left/Middle) corner, x2 980Ti 240mm AIO Kits Right Top/Middle corner.

I was a little disappointed when it came to installing my GTX1080FE Hybrid SLI...
Unfortunately the case is really long and installing the GTX1080FEs + EVGA 980Ti AIO Kits was a PITA as I was trying to achieve the above set up.
I spent a few hours getting the AIO kits in and out carefully to get them so the coolant lines weren't under too much tension, it really distorts the pipes over time...
With a few tweaks (and few dropped screws, which can be a nightmare to find) I was able to finally get them to sit somewhat how I wanted, pipes not under tension and rads above the GPUs so all the air bubbles are at the top of the loop...
When I measured my GPUs and the pre release case specs I thought they'd be easy to install, problem is a lot of the length is lost thru bends in the pipes, especially the far pipe.
EVGA has their own AIO kits yet they barely fit the case...

Fan cables are under a little tension but as long as one is careful it shouldn't be a problem.
I did have Corsair fans with longer wires but the EVGA stock fans are FAR quieter with only 1-2C more.

Getting 24C on GPU 1 with GPU 2 touching 22C for a split second! But that is when I'm browsing the web/YouTube, still really cool ΔT of around 4-5C. Of course it also depends on the ambient temperature.

That being said it does have a ton of space, if you use custom loop this shouldn't be an issue, maybe EVGA will release the QRG/QRC soon, which will make AIO a lot easier to install.

Hope this help those who are looking to throw in AIO coolers into their EVGA DG case.

man it is close but with the fans on the inside of the case that extra 25mm does allow them to reach. very good to know and have the pics to show it.

Yeah sticking the fan on the front of the AIO rad and bolting it thru seems the only way to mount it. You need flat head screws too, luckily I had some.
But the AIO EVGA fan comes bolted at the other side of the rad by default so this is were the wire is a little short.
Then you gotta bolt in the 140mm, if you want that is. I ended up using threaded bolts and nuts as the self tapper was very difficult to turn. If any of you ever do it, you'll know.
But the case did what I wanted and so I'm happy, although it took me a while to get the rad how I wanted.
Hopefully my pics will save others time, that is the only way you can mount them to the Right side, perpendicular.
I know for a fact you can't reach the Top Right corner. The Top Middle/Left position can IIRC but then you have the tubes ruining the view.

yep for it to reach and not be too tight need to mount the fans on the right/front of the radiator and inside the case with the evga hybrid anyway.

I put some spacers on mine and kept the fans on the left side of the radiators and kept the 3 140mm fans on the front.  This helped with case airflow somewhat so I'm keeping it that way. 2 x 980ti hybrids.  Replaced every fan that came with the case too.

is the tube long to fit the radiator on top of the case in first fan slot counting from right to left ?  My hybrid kit is on the way and i am thinking to install the radiator and fan on the left side of the case. Man I wish the tube is 500mm - 600mm long instead 400mm .

When I  talked to a representative on the phone about getting two 1080 hybrid cards, he recommended the DG 6, 7, or 8 cases specifically because they have 2 rear (left sided) fans.  He said the case was designed so that you can mount the hybrid fans to the rear fans to get "push pull" air flow and not have tension on the hybrid tubings...I didn't try this yet as I am still waiting for the hybrids to restock, but I would call customer service directly OP because that was the exact concern I had prior to buying all of my parts.  He assured me that the case was designed so that you could mount the hybrid fans to the back (left) side of the case.

i have yet to see anyone try to mount their radiators on the left swinging door. i do know the hole there is big enough for you to put a radiator in there, top GPU at least.

There is a removable/moveable piece above the PCI-E retention bar. You could pass the radiators through the opening. I was rather hoping the new hybrid kit would have a 140mm radiator though. Everyone has 120mm on their hybrid cards now. Evga could have kept ahead of the curve by going with 140mm for the premium part, especially since they expanded the footprint of the heatsink.

I'd like to believe this, but there isn't direct access to both sides of the mounting area. would this not be required when installing AIO coolers?

I can see there could be a way to take the back facade off, but is it meant to come off? There's no indication in the manual. Just doesn't seem like factual information to me.

They told me my HPTX mobo would totally fit in the case (I have proof of this in the preorder thread), and it absolutely did not fit, so at this point I feel like they'll tell you what you want to hear just to sell the product.

There is an opening right beside the motherboard io that is large enough for you to put 120mm radiators through to the back.

I do know that, I was able to route my waterforce to the back/left, my concern was the actual mounting of rad/fan assembly to the back since you can't easily access the other side of the mounting location.

Either way, I'm planning out a full custom watercool rig anyway, so I'll deal with it being all ugly mounted at the top. The 115i im using for my 6900k gets quite loud when playing games, OC to 4.4, after a few minutes of gta v, it goes to full throttle, very loud.

Chris, been reading your thread on your build, very nice, I may have questions for you since this will be my first watercool build. No stranger to normal builds, tho.

The short answer is yes you can fit 2 1080 hybrids and exit them out of the left (rear) side of the case.  Boy was it a challenge though!  Here's what I did:

The rest of my rig is posted here: http://forums.evga.com/4K-Build-m2550989.aspx

The "secret" is instead of putting both cards through the door window from the left into the main box, take a few more GPU plates out and send the bottom hybrid through there.  I also had to remove the fans that were already mounted on the left side door, and directly mounted the radiator with 120mm fan to the door panel.  I don't know if the picture does justice.  In terms of airflow, I showed the temp in my other pic with the door open, it's 21C in the case.  The GPU at rest are 27C, and at load I hit around 50C (but I haven't stress tested yet).  I OC'ed the i7 6800 to 4.0 with no voltage changes (it runs at about 1.3V).  Any questions, I will be glad to try and help.  I honestly was a bit disappointed in this case because it was really difficult to navigate despite it's size.  Although, frustration aside, it was worth the hassle in the end.

i would have honestly kept the fans against the door and used the radiator as a grill to protect the fans from wires back there. it would also be easier to clean dust off without the fan being in front of the radiators.

yep for it to reach and not be too tight need to mount the fans on the right/front of the radiator and inside the case with the evga hybrid anyway.

I put some spacers on mine and kept the fans on the left side of the radiators and kept the 3 140mm fans on the front.  This helped with case airflow somewhat so I'm keeping it that way. 2 x 980ti hybrids.  Replaced every fan that came with the case too.

I know that topic is so old

but those spacers what I was looking for

anyone have any idea from where I can got those?
