Looks like a very nice build Double check that SLI Bridge spacing though ---> Looks to me the EVGA PRO SLI BRIDGE HB (2 Slot Spacing) P/N: 100-2W-0027-LR ---> is what you Need PCIe 2 & PCIe 3 will be skipped between the GPUs = 2 slot TV --> check those specs for PC input carefully--> 60 Hz ? Make sure you can find a HDMI 2.0 Cable for the TV unless DP 1.2 or better is supported Love my G-Sync 28 inch Monitor @ 4K 60Hz

Thank you for your feedback Cool GTX! I may have to pull up a pdf of the motherboard manual. It looks like the 16x support are in slots 1 and 5 (this is why I couldn't get a sound card)...if this doesn't work I will take your advice and switch MB. I didn't account for PC input to the TV, thank you so much for that. If it will be too much for a hastle, I will just get a dedicated monitor and the fiancee will have to wait on a new TV ;)

I have that tv. I love it for watching movies but it is not great for pc gaming. Up close the pixels are just too large. If you want to game from the couch at a distance go for it.

PCIe 5 = x4 (Gen 2 only, 4 lanes pulled from PCH) --> Manual (Part 1) page 9 MB included SLI bridge will work (3-way SLI Bridge, P/N 401-MB-0023-01, came with my MB) ~ 80 mm spacing My EVGA X99 Classified is setup like this: GPUs are in PCIe 1 & 4 --> gives x16 speed, in both slots, with 40 lane processor My Intel NVMe PCIe SSD is in PCIe 6 at x8 speed Also I'd consider the EVGA 1200W PSU, about the same price if you shop around, just added one to my builds

Thanks cool for confirming the board configuration :) I'll look into the power supply too. @shockjockey I'm really glad you told me this and can speak first hand. I also looked into the best 4k monitor for sli 1080 and it looks like asus pg348q takes the cake for 60 FPS and actually supports 120hz if I wanted to use 2K or downsample at 4k for fps games. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the 1080 hybrids to restock, and I'll be in business :) Thanks again fellas.

Cool GTX Also I'd consider the EVGA 1200W PSU, about the same price if you shop around, just added one to my builds When I did my power testing using the Killa Watt device, the entire machine was pulling only 500 watts with a single 1080 overclocked running at 100%, 6 or 8 cores on my 6900 running at 100%, and an EVGA 960 SSC (for folding only) running also at 100%. Instead of my extra 960 he'll have an extra 1080, but that's still probably only going to add another 60 W or so. Ok, so round it up to 600 watts total if everything is running at 100%. It's why I decided I was fine with the 850 W EVGA power supply I already had. If the OP is going with a 1000 W power supply already, I think at most with this build he'll be using 50-60% of its capacity. Going with a 1200W psu will just cost more in the initial purpose and probably in electricity over time.

I'm not sure who told you but the PG348Q does not do 120Hz. It only goes up to 100Hz. It's a 3440X1440P monitor also known as ultra widescreen.

You're right, I am seeing on specs it supports 100 officially, but I was reading an article (I'll find and link) that says the monitor can be adjusted to 120...but it looks like it did not work for those users. I'm planning on keeping it at 60 anyway, I haven't seen 100hz in person before and if I can get 100fps at 4k by sacrificing image, I guess I can see which I prefer. Thank you for the clarification.

Sorry for the delay, FedEx must have thrown my first DG87 down a flight of stairs before they dropped it off as it was broken to pieces =(. Since then, a new one was RMA'ed and here's the final results!
