I hooked my new 2080 ti and I was able to control the light initially but, I had to switch to a vertical stand to clear the front glass of my case. Once I switched the stand is when I noticed I can't change the light it has just defaulted to a plain white light in Precision X1 any longer. Is this by chance the drawback of using a vertical stand GPU cable connector?

    Remove the riser and see.

    It's a full loop system Not worth that headache tbh.

    You lost RBG, but it happened randomly?  I had an issue like this on one card.  I just pulled the power from the card plugged it all back in then booted the system up and it returned.  Seemed to be tied to 445.75 driver from NVIDIA or when i updated X1 from 1.0.1 > 1.0.3.

    No I had a loop hooked up to the gpu it worked fine and then I switched it to a vertical stand for a full loop set up. When I switched things up and had to use the GPU extension cable is when it started.

    Interesting.  If you haven't disassembled the card itself for some reason, it can only be the riser card.  If you opened the card to do cleaning or you converted a standard or hybrid card to hydro then you put the header on the PCB upside down.

    Nope brand new card that came with the water block factory installed to it only used it for a week before switching things up. It still lights up but only as a white light and program gives you no RBG control any longer. Before switching it out I had it set to blue.

    Oh, i misread that you are at least getting white.  Do you have X1 on a drive letter other than C:?  I've had bugs with that, but it's been ages.
