Why isn't this limited to one per household till supply is higher?

Because they don't care a lot about who buys. They only care about how many are sold. Right now, the rich guys running up to quad-SLI of these cards are buying all they can as soon as it's restocked. When the hybrid coolers and backplates sell separately, these will run out quickly as well...

yea that is crazy. im sometimes inpatient when it comes to some things but i sure in hell wouldn't pay that much for one.

Newegg just had some SC in stock. I'm curious. Can you step up to an 980 ti ACX SC from a 980 ti SC within the 3 month step up period?

No, the only available step up is the ACX non-SC card, and typically you can't step up from the same GPU though they've made exceptions to this for the 970 so I suppose another exception to the norm is possible but very unlikely. It's silly that they don't add all the cards to the step-up list. After all, we're paying for the difference (and shipping!) and therefore they don't lose much of profits (if there's any loss at all) by letting people pick their path on the step-up. I know that step-up is a perk and as such they don't owe us anything, so we have to be thankful for what we get, but I can see the pain of some people getting the new ACX cards only to sell them on ebay/craigslist/wherever to buy the Hybrid or other model they REALLY wanted.

heres what i did. i download a refreshing extension from google chrome and had it refresh every ten seconds. i received my order confrontation the same time i got the email notification that graphic card was in stock. if you wait for the email notification its probably already gone especially if you want the hybrid. i had my credit card number already copied so i just had to paste it to save some time. its crazy how fast these things go. 

rite on tuesday i messed up a part of the shipping and by the time i was done i missed out. and the funny thing is as soon as the site starts to load slower than usual something is coming in stock.

Oh! The site is getting a noticeable slowdown again!

Really?  Means nowinstock.net isn't working properly and I missed it =/.  Really want to grab the SC or hybrid and I'm stuck with newegg because I have a 400$ gift card.

Not yet that I have seen. Well, I'm only after the hybrid model since the big reason I want to upgrade is due to heating issues.

Fraud prevention has done more harm than good for me =/ during the PS4 release I preordered from amazon then bought gift cards and applied them to my account so they couldn't stop me lol

hey im new to the site :( i got a quick question. when the item comes back in stock, will the button of auto-notify switch to something along the lines of purchasing the item. i want to buy the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+

i was also just notice something. the superclock and superclock+ have the same spec :x. what one should i actually get. havent upgraded in a long time.
