Just got a new EVGA GTX760 SC blower cooler model. Every review out there is for the ACX version, so we have all seen what's under the hood of that model. This will be a quick look inside the blower model. I will update as tests are run and temps are measured. At some point I will complete a power consumption and performance comparison between this card and a GTX670FTW (and possible a GTX660 thrown in). This is the 02G-P4-2762-KR part number. Here are pictures of it being unboxed and disassembled: The box, card, and accessories Back of the card. Remove 5 screws as marked to separate the cooler shroud from PCB (careful, avoid damaging the fan cable) The two pieces separate, leaving heatsink still secured to PCB The heatsink with 3 heatpipes The GPU power phases are in contact with the heatsink as well... nice Fully disassembled. Underside of the heatsink, full copper plate. The surface is very flat and smoother than most.

Overclocking: The card was tested for maximum stability in the Valley bench. Power Target 115%, Temperature Target 80°C, custom fan profile*. Here are the results: - 1254 MHz core boost, 6700 MHz memory
- ASIC Quality = 68.5%
*Custom profile in Precision X: 40%/40°C, 60%/60°C, 75%/69°C, 100%/79°C Temperature: The maximum temperature was recorded during the Valley bench. Power Target 115%, Temperature Target 80°C. Here are the results: - 75°C, stock clocks, with factory automatic fan profile
- 65°C, stock clocks, custom fan profile
- 67°C, at max overclock, custom fan profile
Noise: (subjective summary) The card is quiet. Comparing the 760SC blower (version 2?) to the 670FTW, I would have to say they are the same. They also cool the same, with both cards using the same custom fan profile. I cranked the 760 all the way up to 100% (yes, it actually goes all the way up!) and it was audible, but not irritating. Just the sound of rushing air. There is no coil whine. EVGA did a nice job on this design. Folding@Home, 8900 WU (preliminary results): - GTX660 - All settings with Power Target 110%, Custom fan profile
- 44K PPD, +39 Core (1124 MHz boost)
- GTX760 SC - All settings with Power Target 115%, Temp. Target 80°C, Custom fan profile
- 66K PPD, Stock (1176 MHz boost)
- 70K PPD, +52 Core (1228 MHz boost)
- GTX670 FTW - All settings with Power Target 145%, Custom fan profile
- 81K PPD, +28 Core (1228 MHz boost)
Power Consumption while folding, system Watts at the wall (preliminary results): - GTX660 - All settings with Power Target 110%, Custom fan profile
- 108 W idle, 224 W load, +39 Core (1124 MHz boost)
- GTX760 SC - All settings with Power Target 115%, Temperature Target 80°C, Custom fan profile
- 88 W idle, 244 W load, Stock (1176 MHz boost)
- 88 W idle, 251 W load, +52 Core (1228 MHz boost)
- GTX670 FTW - All settings with Power Target 145%, Custom fan profile
- 99 W idle, 285 W load, +28 Core (1228 MHz boost)

The 2760 model is a clone of the GTX670 short PCB version, it looks like THIS.

Admittedly the full PCB of the 760 looks pretty bare on the area that is normally not there on the shortened PCB. Question is, Why do they have both? I guess they simply wanted to have both shroud designs available?

interesting that the blower fan is attached to the shroud, cool idea cause it makes it for easier cleaning of the heatsink.

Would've been interested in seeing the otherside of the cooler. They're direct contact more than likely but are the heatpipes spaced out with a little bit of alu in between them or are they "squeezed" together?

Stock clocks, card boosts at 1177Mhz and stays there until core hits 80°C. Then it drops to 1136MHz and temp stays at 79°C, fan @ 68% audible but not loud. Setting ths temp limit to 85°C will never throttles since it looks to stay at 82-83°C. OC results arent impressive though, goes 1241/1800Mhz (1257 is the max boost with 1.212V, but it stays at 1257Mhz all the time, no throttling with 80-81% TDP) with temps ~80°C and fan @ 95% (i have calibrated fan profile to reach 100% at 82°C). It makes some noise since it spins at 3600rpm but i was expecting more! Its way lower than my ex-7950 @ 1150/1600. OC results are 100% stable (1257Mhz all the time - flat line) after running 3dmark11 and 13, valley (47fps 1080p Extreme HD) and playing 1-2h of bf3 multi. OC made with precision tool like this: power:115% priority->power temp ->85°C +65core +600 memories. I wonder how evga sc with acx boosts 1320-1330Mhz on most reviews. Golden samples? Or not stable at these clocks? Or mine sucks a bit ?

I will get to this after the benching is complete. Didn't want to re-TIM the brand new card before testing 'from factory' condition. Results posted for overclocking, temps, noise, folding, power. More to come.

As i understand you may have much better air cooling inside your case. Good to know that oc results were about similar. Have you tried with 0.12mv more? Memory o/c is a bit lower, perhaps didnt spend much effort in this? I must agree for the sound produced, is kept in good levels for blower style fan cooler.

Yes, I have a lot of cooling in my case and the location is always very cool (basement). Will try to add 0.012V tonight and report back. The memory did not pass tests at 6800 MHz. Any suggestions for ways to get it higher? The blower fan used is of high quality.

But I got tired of waiting if/when the 760 cards would be in stock in EVGA's store so I instead ordered the 670 vanilla card from Jimm's, going to dispatch tomorrow and I'll get it on friday. When I get it I'll register it and join the 770 queue bandwagon. E: And to above regarding the memory OC. Usually the core oc holds back mem oc and mem oc holds back core oc, or that's what I've encountered. From the reviews I've looked back I'd focus more on the core oc.

Using this same card these are my results so far using the current beta drivers and both 3Dmark11 & 13 & the stock Blow cooler. Still working on things at the moment of posting this, but i know the memory and core will both go higher, more so the memory. 2500K/16gb1333/ EvgaGtx760 SC Blow cooler. OC so far. 1188Mhz Base, 1320Mhz Boost, 7204Mhz memory @1.212v Offsets: +145 GPU, +600 Memory. 3DMark11: P9210 (1320/7114) www. 3dmark. com/3dm11/6813759 Firestrike: 6319 (1320/7204) www. 3dmark. com/fs/614361 Seems 3dmark11 is much more memory bound, the scores went up more with ram than cpu. While fire strike seem much more gpu core bound. At this stage i think we need an official driver release especially for SLI requirements. I bought 2 of these cards but sadly 1 was DOA as it was crushed very badly (some how). But form what i can see SLI isn't scaling very well atm and even single card performance isn't mature by any stretch. One thing i will say the coolers on these cards if you plan to just run them at stock are super super quiet and just as cold. I live in a fairly cool place in AU. Only during bench marking did i see above 65 degrees (C). Running 1250 boost/6500 memory during BF3 gaming it was sitting around 45-55degrees under gaming load and whisper quiet. I do how ever recommend you run the fan at 100% once to start benchmarking at or near 1300Mhz on the core. I noticed a large jump from 1265-1275Mhz @60-65 degree C under load, to 75-80 degree C @ 1293/1306/1320. I am running my study air con at 12 degrees C, so it's freezing in here. So there is a noticeable jump. * I was using 1.212v in both cases. Another thing i have contacted EK, heatkiller, xspc & koolance about full cover water blocks and none of them are currently planning a full cover waterblock for this non-reference PCB. In theory how ever the Heatkiller GTX 670 blocks DO fit, but you can only attach them via the 4 mounts points directly around the gpu core, not the surrounding ones. The EK/XSPC blocks how ever do not fit at all, i have tried them both. I'll be doing more testing once i get my 2nd 760 back. But i might wait until better drivers are out.

68.5% , makes sense that our cards clock exactly the same (not sure it really correlates to OC though).

melodystyle2003 Yes try with the +0.12mv and tell us. Check if can pass valley run twice. P.e. i can run 3dmark with 1280/1800 but on valley it crashes. No sry, for the memory i think its just to be good chips for o/c
Nothing more than 1254 MHz core with voltage OC by 0.012V

Dude you broke it! he he. =) If you can post a video of the card functioning (noise levels) it would be amazing!

Damn the 2762 with it's "evga cooler" is such a good looking card. I guess I like it simple.
