Would've been interested in seeing the otherside of the cooler.
They're direct contact more than likely but are the heatpipes spaced out with a little bit of alu in between them or are they "squeezed" together?

Nice, thanks.
Good cooler it has then. And damn that amount of TIM.
After you reapplied with a TIM of your choice, did your temps go down?

Thanks for the great info and pics staypuft! And Doctor_Malik, that's a great looking build.

I'm putting together a new gaming machine and trying to decide between this card (2762), the 02G-P4-2761-KR (longer pcb, not overclocked), or the MSI GTX 760 Gaming...

It's a mini itx build in a Fractal Node 304 with an i5-4570 and an SSD - I'm more concerned about noise and power use than performance of the card, as I'm already jumping forward several generations and don't plan on overclocking.

The idea of a blower is appealing to me, because I'd rather have the heat out than in, but many review sites have found the reference design to be very noisy, where as some of the aftermarket cooling solutions are way quieter - at the cost of exhausting much of the heat back into the case.

I'm looking for some opinions - how will the 2761 and 2762 models stack up to each other (and can anyone confirm that they have the same cooling setup), and how would they compare to something like the MSI GTX 760 Gaming (or Gigabyte Windforce) in terms of noise? Does anyone have any experience with a mini itx build and how much heat you can manage in the case? And does anyone have any experience or opinions on the Corsair H60, as I was thinking of using that to get the heat from the cpu out of the case.

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks allot Staypufft! Awesome pics and great info!

I just ordered my SC 02G-P4-2762-KR from Newegg, and joined the forum here. I'll report any findings that seems relevant to my rig. It's been a long, long time since a new card, so I'm excited to check it out. Thanks again for the  info to all chiming in on this thread, was really helpful.

I am looking forward to see if those temperatures will be different after redoing and reapplying TIM.

And please take note of the TIM you are going to use. :)

Kudos for your thread and post.

If there is a difference I might do it as well with my future Classified videocards.

yeah man I got the 760 acx ftw a day ago everything maxed at 1080p. Temps are amazing idle 27c and load between 50c to 60c depending on the game.  The fans are at 42% auto fan on idle not to noisy pretty silent but still be better if it was around 30% to 35%.

Great review staypuff buddy.

I see you're an experienced user of the GTX760, but I have some doubts about the noise levels and if this one is the same blower/noise as the reference model of the EVGA gtx760, I'll post a video of the noise of the card, and I hope to get some help of it at least on knowing if the sound of my blower is normal...or has something wrong, is like a mechanical sound of "crack crack" when the blower spins, and also seems to come a little electrical sound but not from the card itself, is from the blower spining. If you post a short video of the blower spining, would be great for use it as reference sound.

Any coments?

Greetings and thank you!

So...there is the sound

/watch?v=pdL-QC4ma74

Is this sound normal?, I have the GTX760 short PCB ref, that is basically this exactly same model, and the fan do exactly the same noise...how normal this is?

Re:EVGA GeForce GTX 760 w/ Blower Cooling (full PCB version) - w/ pics of Heatsink 2013/12/18 22:33:37 (permalink)
Nice breakdown, I have three questions.

The grey TIM looks really blobbed on, would it not be a good idea to replace it with AC5 at that point?
I did this years ago on a 8800GTX with AC3 and it dropped the temps a good 10C.

Second, unlike the ACX version the blower has a range of 42%-100%? How much of screamer is at max?

Third, what is the mm of blowers today, 65 or 74? I do recall they always seem to be an odd size.
EVGA probably could use a larger blower, there appears to be room for another 10mm in size
Thanks
