Hello. Some days ago I just bought this card from EVGA and monday should arrive. Being bored and with igpu from 7700k only I can`t play anything so reading on internet about this card I found that they released ftw2. Why hybrid version comes with ftw1? Can I use the bios from ftw2 for my hybrid? Is nice to have 11016MHz Memory Clock. Thank you.

You can always try overclocking the memory.  You might get a good 400-500MHz OC.  Heck if you're really lucky you might even get a 1GHz OC!

Today I just installed it. OC will wait for a while. I was curious how come they used ftw1 and not 2. FTW1 micron memory maybe sucks vs ftw2?

it's most likely because they made the FTW Hybrid before they released the FTW2, and there's really no need for all the extra sensors on the FTW Hybrid PCB, so there's no need to change out their stock for the FTW2 PCB. It would literally cost them a ton of money and provide zero tangible benefit to the user.

I have OC-ed my memory to 11ghz and got a score of 12459 with superposition 1080p high. A lot higher then official score for ftw2 12043 with new bios.

Until now I was using bios editor to oc my cards. Now that we can't do that I have to use evga xoc. What is strange about that is that when you use for example +500 on memory you you have to double the result so 5000+500=11Ghz. I didn`t know that and I went strait +1000mhz lol. And it worked! No artefacts, nothing. Tried many gpu intensive benchmarks, some games and is working fine for 12ghz memory oc lol. For clock I'm using only +100mhz. Max temp for all of this oc is 46C. Anyway I`m afraid to use so much OC on memory and I will leave it to 11Ghz only.

Yes lol. I was playing Black Desert and I was watching at my Logitech G13 screen to see some stats (gpu temp, clock, vcore, tdp etc.) and at mem clock I saw 6000mhz. Idiot me went with mem offset at max +1000mhz. But how is possible not having artefacts or freezes at this clock?

Looks like you hit the mem lotto.

I use my two "EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid" cards both with +1000 Mhz MEM CLOCK OFFSET (set with EVGA Precision X) since over 1 week (24/7) for Mining of Cryptocurrencies. No crashes - it works fine.

EVGA Precision X shows "Memory Clock: 5514 Mhz" on both cards.

I think these cards are very good or I just had luck while buying them.

Btw: Is there any way to do a higher offset than +1000 on EVGA Precision X?

Higher than +1000? Nope, not without doing a vbios mod.
