Would be perfect for a 4K HTPC, tempting. Although I think I may wait for a Kaby Lake NUC sized system for 4k.

I expect that we will see the reference models on October 25, since that is the official launch date, but with the way that Pascal cards have launched, we might not see full availability until January. This also is a perfect time since the holidays are coming and new games are launching or getting ready to launch as it is October.

I was just about to say that. If this thing is around $100, i'll pick it up. Doubtful though.

Can anyone at EVGA confirm that the 04G-P4-6255 model is a reference Nvidia PCB with an extension on it for cooling purposes? Do all of these 1050 models have idle fan off? Seems like the perfect model since it doesn't add the PCIe power connector but still has overkill cooling.

The FTW Versions are Full PCB.....While the SSC and below are half PCB with an extension for purposes of cooling.
I believe that all 1050 cards have the idle fan off feature... you can obviously change that within precision xoc.

I think I might actually have to trade up my 02g-P4-2966-KR for 04G-P4-6258...

    Not sure yet...
Still need to get a new monitor... also this is purely for enjoyment of EGPU Setups.

    Hello EVGA forums

Yesterday I bought an EVGA GTX 1050 Ti SC for a SFF build where cable management and temperatures is crucially important factors. I have 2 questions regarding the 1050 Ti, as I haven't received it yet, and thus can't verify. The questions are:

1: I've read about the padding missing on the pascal line (1060, 1070 and 1080) on reddit.com/r/nvidia, and I'm now wondering if this is also the case on the 1050's. Are they shipping with thermal padding or do we have to add that ourselves? What happens to warranty if we mod the cards with thermal pads?
2: From what I understand, the 1050 Ti SC ships without a 0 Db fan mode. This is a big let-down for me, as I assumed it to be an industry standard at this point, more or less. Is there any plans on adding this feature through a VBIOS update?

    Thanks in advance.

Found an interesting article about the 1050 lineup.  Why is it that the higher clocked SC is slower than all other cards in pretty much every test including synthetics?  Doesn't make sense to me but there must be a reason.

That entire test seems wrong. There's no reason there should be than much disparity between all the GPU's. They did something wrong.

Well even if you don't take into account the Zotac results the SC is still slower than the rest.  I wonder what could the problem be?

That he screwed up running the benches. In the first example, the EVGA card is slightly faster and in Alien v Predator except for the Zotac.
