I wish EVGA would keep us updated on this case... NEEDS to have Customizable RGB LED's
If its just Blue leds... I will look elsewhere.

Not a peep from EVGA about naming this case. Might as well call it 'Orphan' because it has no name.

I want to see an email announcing me as the winner. Fat chance of that happening though. I'm am not holding my breath this time. I still have a knot on my head from the last time I held my breath and fell down.

Sometimes my blood thinners and blood pressure meds affect my eyesight and I see double. Sorry about that. I'd like to see what kind of lame excuse for a name they decided on since mine was the obvious choice. The concept of 1001 probably eludes them or the name is too complicated for them to design a case badge for. I am hoping we're not stuck with something stupid like 'Lotus Blossom' or something like that. I don't much care about the winner's names as much as I care about the winning name for the case.

Since it's closed, I suggested the Hadron Ultimate. They have the Hadron Air and Hadron Hydro, both mITX, so I thought Ultimate would be kind of cool.

Don't know for sure if either of the winners actually picked the winning name or just entered the contest. For all I know, the name was alreay decided on by EVGA. We'll never know the truth for sure.

Evga says, directly on the entry page, that they may choose a different name than those submitted by the users. The winners were winners just for entering.

Straight from the second sentence of the second paragraph of the title page, "All names will be considered, however this does not guarantee that any of the names will be used for the launch of the Gaming Case."

Well, let that be a lesson to me for not reading the fine print's fine print. Here I thought that we the end users were going to have some kind of say in what our PC case would be named. After careful consideration I have decided that my next case will come from a quality PC case manufacturer and I will choose either the InWin 909 or GRone.

Re: EVGA Gaming (name pending) Tower. 2016/04/25 17:23:04 (permalink)
LOL, that wasn't fine print. That was the top of the page. Big bold letters right under the title. That disclaimer was put out before the first entry was ever put in.

We won't know what they decided for the name until it is released.

Why decide to go with a different brand just because their disclaimer was clearly labeled before anyone entered? I suggest waiting to see what the material quality of the case is. If you buy for the name and nothing else, then what is the point of buying a case?

I've been looking at the 909 for a while now. This EVGA case is shrouded in too much mystery and they seem to be dragging their feet just like with their magical keyboard that has disappeared into the netherworld. At least I'll know what I'm getting. I don't have forever for EVGA to decide what they're doing with this case. I was never keen on that Hadron while others seemed to wet their pants by just looking at it because it said EVGA on it. IDK.

Def like to hear what they are going to call this case too. I suggested Tevatron to stick with the physics theme and the hadrons name scheme.

So EVGA, why no mention of what the case will be called ?
I think most of us were hoping that along with winners names, the name of the case and some kind of specs would be revealed.

Instead we are left wondering.......wondering.... wondering...
Heck this can go on for....well as long as the keyboard has been going on for, i guess.

I think the are still in shock after realizing that someone designed it without a drive bay necessary for the VR output ports. Doh!

Internal think tank... still thinking of why theres not a drive bay, needs another year or two of testing before release.

It's so quiet in that think tank you can hear a pin drop. I can see it now, optional addon VR adapter that is a box that sits next to the case. LOL

I was trading my CM Cosmos 2, thinking i want this more than i want the 780T... we will see though.

EVGA Full Tower case is nicer than Cosmos II and 780T or 760T.
No any doubt in that.

Not if it doesnt exist !
I mean a prototype is nice, but if thats all its gonna be, seems like a waste of my time.

I need a case soon, so when they had the naming contest, i thought for sure they would say something about the case when they announced the winners.
Hell where was the announcement... the page had disappeared from the main.  had to search posts for the link.
Also a terrible idea not to have at least one 5.25" Drive bay.

They haven't even told us what the name is going to be or if there will be choices that we can vote on. It would be nice to see this case hit the market but I fear it will sit in EVGA Limbo along side of the long awaited keyboard neither of which will see the light of day during our lifetime.

Makes me wonder if i should start my own business, i mean i have access to milling machines, lathes and injection molding machines.
If i could design(and i do have some ideas floating around in my head), i could probably make a very good case.

You know, i think im gonna have to do this.
Might even beat EVGA to market.

Maybe they didn't like any of the names submitted.

After playing WoW, i know how hard it can be to come up with a good name that's not already taken.

I'm quite pleased there is no stupid 5.25" bay getting in the way of that fantastic quad radiator grill.
VR "bays" be damned, just plug it in on the other side. There is no inconvenient "in the back" on this thing.
And to put one in, solely for that.. And I doubt any serious PC user still bothers with plastic discs (im no console peasant!).

I joined the contest, but in all honesty they could call it 'EVGA Casy Mc. Caseface' and id still want to buy it.
I'm more interested in price, specs and release date. So howbout it, EVGA?
