I recently bought a GTX 750 by EVGA yesterday and I was wondering sometime.

The Card came with a 6 pin to Molex adapter for the card, just in case your PSU doesn't have a 6 pin on it, but I don't know if I only need to connect 1 molex to it, or two? Currently my PSU has 2 molex and one is being used for a fan controller on my case, so I only have the 1.

I don't want to try it, since it might damage the card. :/

Thanks.

You would need to connect two molex connectors to the 6 pin adapter.

Hmm, alright. If I got a Molex splitter so that way I had an extra for my fan controller(helps keep my computer at 30 degrees Celsius and below), would that potentially work in this case?

That's getting a bit more technical.  I would think that you would need all the power from the two molex connectors to power the 6 pin connector for the GPU.  If you shared the power from one of them, it would reduce the amount of power available to your GPU.

My opinion is no, I wouldn't risk it unless I knew 100% is was okay to do.

I just connected the 6-pin straight from the psu to the 6-pin on the gpu. I don't trust psu-->molex-->gpu. the gpu is rated @ 60W and the 6-pin adds 25W+more Mhz+stability for overclocking.

Hard to do if there isn't enough 6 pins in a pre-built system.

Ofc, if there is no other choice. I just prefer not to do it that way.

Not really going to be much Overclocking with a GTX 750.

+222 core/+1500 memory 1.2V(1398/6900Mhz). got to 1463.5/6914 and stopped there. Want to see if 1476.5 or 1489.5 are possible at 1.262v-1.268v eventually.

Yes here are some more Scores and all under 5400
The Ti Model hits just under 8000 at 7995 Scores
I not saying that you can't overclock the card.
What is the Link to your score

If you have a ATX mini board you will be limited, but if you have a atx tower with a mini installed then go the extra mile and buy an ATX board to fit the tower. A lot of gamer systems prebuilt on the cheap (targeting a low end market) will come with a ATX Mini board with limited 6 pin connects( usually only 2, 1 for the cpu and 1 or 2 vent cooling fans) and no fan fan sensing capabilities ( speed and temp control) so overclocking a card is a dangerous proposition. If you have a good chip Intel I5 or better or AMD black Fx-4300 or higher, then buying a great mother board is a great investment for under 200.00.  If you bought a HP or some other consumer marketed system then the tower would most likely not be compatible for very many upgrades and I would buy a on the cheap gamer for under 600.00 on any sight like Amazon, cyberpowerpc. Just look around ruining a card just to try to make it work on a system not designed for it is a hard way to learn the ropes.
I have a EVGA GTX 750 Titan and I overclock it to play any game on the market with great results, of course I have a full motherboard with liquid cooling for the CPU and Card and 16 Gigs of ram. But I built it from a on the cheap with a Mini ATX board. I spent 6 months doing it but it was worth it.  Happy gaming!
