Yo! Its your cardboard guy. If you guys don't know me , I am that guy who made a cardboard gpu of Asus Strix 1080. Now I decided to make a model of one of my favorite GPUs out there which is the EVGA GTX1080Ti FTW 3! Its freaking awesome. I am so excited to make it and I need your support.

Getting all the tools and materials

I am gonna have to use a lot of hot glue for this project.

Making the layouts of the GPU

Making the layout was easy. Just had to dig the whole internet for perfect images of the GPU and then take it to an editing software and resize it to a size that I like. Then I kept my laptop upside down and placed a paper on top of the screen to trace it with a pencil. After all thats done, I cut out the paper layouts and sticked it on top of the cardboard to mark the outlines.

    Cutting the Cardboard

After I am done with all the outlining on the cardboard,  I started cutting the cardboard. Seriously.... It was a pain in the ass to cut these small holes in the cardboard.  Ant slight mistakes could destroy the whole thing and I will have to start all over again. So I went with the " No Eating , No Sleeping , No Gaming" strategy and started cutting the the cardboard patiently.

By the way this fits perfectly in my old Strix model

I bet not even the elite members of EVGA are gonna get hold of this skin for their EVGA GTX1080Ti FTW3

I am half way done cutting the cardboard for the top layers. Now I gotta work on the bottom layers.

Looks like someone is planning to do some folding with his GPU. Honestly guys should we move this to the folding thread?

Went with 2 layers of backplate for more detailing.

I will do all the designs at the end.

    Fan Blades
Fan blades are one of the hardest things to make. But once you get a perfect sized fan blade the rest is easy to make.

    THE CLOCK IS TICKING
Guess what.....EVGA's 18th anniversary will start within 48 hours! So my plan is to make this before the event starts. Didn't sleep today but hope it will be worth taking the risks. Here's the countdown timer for the event https://www.evga.com/18/countdown/

    Almost Done!!!
Just finished most of it. Now I need to do the remaining details on the backplate. Designing it will take some time but good to say that I have 9 hours left or the event to start. Hope I will finish before it begins.

watercooled card dont look sick like the normal ones do. they are just rectangular box shaped hardware which is very easy to make. I like to make all these complex detailed stuff.

Sorry, was a terrible joke.  Water + cardboard = soggy card.  Ahem, moving on.
