I am not sure if I am the only one but after installing the firmware update my card stopped functioning properly. Every game I attempt to play now has a massive stuttering problem. The issue appeared immediately after the firmware update. I am actually really frustrated with myself because I only got the Precision X1 software to change the color of the lights on my card as I did not have any noticeable fan noise.

Really like the fans on the new 3080/3090 EVGA cards. Some of my favorite designs are EBGA (still have my EVGA 908ti Classy kicking, looking to upgrade to 3080/3090).

Hard to say, honestly. It's a possibility, but you'd only know after the power comes back on. If it's a card with a dual BIOS, like the FTW3, you can simply toggle the switch over to the other one. Either way, if you're updating to an officially-supported firmware if this happens while the card is under warranty, then you'll be able to replace it.

I think it's to fix coil whine from the fans, though I do wonder how they did it, lower the max speed of the fan, or do something with the fans voltage or whatever?
I'm also wondering the same thing. The right fan on my 3090 XC3 Ultra had a constant loud-whirring noise and after installing the new PX1 it's gone.

This is excellent. Just got a 3080 XC3 Ultra Gaming and the beeping from the fans was really weird. I thought my PSU was breaking or something. This has fixed it, thanks!

My 3090 FTW Ultra with the latest firmware is still beeping. If I manually set all 3 fans to 11 or below the beeping stops but anything over that it stays constant. Are there any plans to address the 3090 soon? Thanks in advance.

Just obtained my card a few hours ago, that high pitched whine was driving me absolutely insane with its irregular intervals while idling. Googled the issue and sure enough, applied the fix. Friggin love you guys!

So I just installed my 3080 FTW Ultra and I am getting massive coil whine (buzzing/whining noise). And it is not the fans. I installed precision X1 and there was no prompt to download new software. Did I just get a bad card?

Can anyone provide me with the firmware version? I received my card with 1.1.10 and Precision isn't prompting me with an update. Not sure if I have this or not?

If you don't get the prompt it means your firmware doesn't need to be updated.

When will there be a similar fix for the FTW3 Ultra? I am having the same exact issue as described with the XC3 (Fan buzz/beep/whine when spinning), but there is no fix for the FTW3?
