Hey there,
I have recently bought an ABS Legend system from Newegg which comes with the EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming graphics card.
Performance is solid so far in benchmarks.
However, I do have two issues.
First, the RGB does not work at all on the card. It defaults to a rainbow even after installing and reinstalling PrecisionX with LED sync, the moment any LED software begins to run I get 4 flashing red LEDs where the power connectors are located on the card. The LED button in Precision stays grayed out.
I have confirmed I am running 3 separate power cables from my PSU to the GPU and everything is firmly connected. As long as I do not run any of the LED software the blinking will not happen.
The second issue is related to the fans. They erratically spin up very fast (and often) even at idle, making a lot of noise.
I do want to point out that the first time I installed the Precision software, I was prompted to update the GPU firmware (which I did and was given the update success) and I thought the issues would be fixed.
Alas, that is not the case.
I do want to point out that after a second Precision software reinstall, I am now able to see the 3 GPU fans in the main window. Earlier, I could only see 2.
I think it seems to be a firmware problem. Any ways to reflash it somehow? I'd love to avoid RMA!
I contacted ABS support and they think it can be a faulty GPU but they want what EVGA support's feedback on this.
So here I am, stuck in the middle of you! :)
Awaiting your feedback for this EVGA support.
Thanks in advance for your help
Kind regards,
