Camels...they are a fickle animal. One minute leading you to water...the next unceremoniously removing you from their backside (that sounded worse than I intended). 
 
Regardless, the last Camel Day of the First Queue Year (yes, it pained me to write that) has all but concluded. One year ago tonight, I was congratulating myself on securing a "ROG TUF" 3080 preorder from Amazon.com and avoiding the rush. It was quietly cancelled by Amazon two days later. [Narrator: fill in your own pithy comment using some well-known British slang and Jeff "I once floated in space" Bezos.]
 
Finally, the product pages for the 3955 and the "-KR" SKUs that have a "-KL" replacement have been removed from EVGA.com. In response to that, by the end of this week, I will remove the 3955 and the affected "-KR" skus from the summary (that should clean it up a bit). (Huge thanks to EVGA forum member Smithship for the heads-up!)  
 
Hopefully tomorrow brings us some relief to this drought (not withstanding the SpaceX-sponsored trip that the 3987 seems to have had today..."to the moon!").

The cross outs starting a few weeks ago were based on my opinion at the time that they were not going to move for the foreseeable future given that EVGA had issued "-KL" replacement queues for those "-KR" queues. It is unclear when/if there will be any further drops to those queues...which is the reason, I believe, that EVGA removed their product pages from the website.  To be clear, they have not been officially "discontinued" but...in my opinion the 40 series will launch before those move again.
 
In other news, there is a new thread in the forums originated by @EVGA_JacobF that includes an opportunity to vote on whether to:
  • keep the EVGA Queue “as is” (i.e., one unit per SKU); or
  • limit it going forward to only one 30 series card per EVGA account; or
  • “other” (post in the thread to leave a comment).

i thought the 4000 series wasnt releasing this year but rather next year? maybe I misread somewhere? i know there are rumors of a 3090 super possibly coming either later this year or beginning of next year but thats still a 3000 series

My reference to the 40 series was in jest (as in, "the queues for the skus removed from the EVGA website will likely never move again").  Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I had the option of a regular 3090ftw via newegg shuffle walked away as it was paired with a firehazard power supply.

Today is the one year anniversary of the 30 series launch eve. A year ago, I was excited and nervous about oversleeping. I knew inventory would be tight...it was a highly sought after card...Jensen's kitchen set presentation had sparked tremendous interest. The pandemic lockdown was spiking gaming across the world. The Series X/S and PS5 were not yet available. Tomorrow was going to be a F5-battle for the ages. I was shut out across the board -- Best Buy, Microcenter, NVIDIA.com...EVGA...I sprained my F5 finger.  
 
I'll have more reflections (frankly too many...) on what tomorrow's anniversary means to the enewts in the morning update (apologies in advance for the length of the intro...I might just have to make it an outro beneath the summary table).
 
In the interim, please ...enjoy (definitely not the right word)... this 365th day of the 30 Series era. May the gaming gods shine upon your inbox and deliver unto you a invite to ascend to Gaming Valhalla. For those that celebrate today, "G’mar chatima tova."

I got the notifies for both SKUs within 3 minutes of each other. What are the chances of that? Considering there's only $50 or 3% difference between the XC3 and FTW3, I'll go with the slightly higher power availability for simple peace of mind and let the XC3 go to someone waiting else dying for a GPU. God it hurts the wallet though.
 
Not having immediately gotten a confirmation e-mail of the purchase makes me real nervous though.

I can't even check out. I'm getting stuck in a loop or getting a weird error message. I called customer support and the only thing to do is clear cache, try different browsers, and keep trying. After months of waiting, it's a kick in the nuts.

I've heard of this happening.  One solution that folks found successful was to check out on their mobile device. Even if the tech glitches frustrate the purchase today, by replying to the invite to purchase email you create a record so that they can find your registration and rehabilitate your invite even after the 8 hour window. EVGA will get you sorted. Best of luck!
