Don't worry guys, since 95%+ of cards will be going to fake scalper accounts, you shouldn't have very much to keep track of. Oh well.

First off I'd like to say to enewt, great job for the community effort to try and make sense of the queue. Although moving forward I don't know how relevant or accurate any people's report will be since there seems to be sub queues now depending on whether or not it's your first notify or not. Secondly, all you people whining and complaining how this isn't fair with the new change despite some of you already have been able to purchase 1, 2 or even 3, 30 series cards, time to get over it. I know people that have been in these damn queues since LAST year who still haven't been called for ANY purchase. Yet you want to complain about not being able to get a 2nd or 3rd? I'm glad EVGA is making these changes and taking money out of scalpers pockets. It's really "odd" that how every time we see a big movement in any of the queues that strangely I also see a huge influx of eBay listings for "Brand new EVGA 30XX" card with ridiculous markups. Coincidence? I think not

Kevin115 I think we do not need to ask them if this is their first purchase from the 30 series queue, at least for the next few months, the reports will be first purchase only because they are prioritized. And when the rewind happens, you'll notice because the report timestamp will suddenly fall back several month. (Assuming they are not going to reopen the queue before fulfill all current registrations)
Agreed. You said it better than I did.
enewt, with one simple change they could fix all the long queues immediately. just change the text of the current plan to the following: 1. Accounts that have NOT received one notification to purchase an EVGA 30 series card yet as part of the queue will be prioritized. before folks respond you have to actually THINK about it.

Thanks for the kind words; I do appreciate them. I am thinking about how best to address this change (and whether to even continue the summary). One question that has arisen in my deliberations is whether the italicized parenthetical (showing the movement from the prior report) provides meaningful value or whether I can delete that element and just show the last timestamp to report. If I can delete it, I free up some valuable space on the page that I could repurpose.... Great, so settling for a 3060 to hold me over means that I'm stuck with a budget card for the next 2+ years? Wow, glad I wasted the time. On top of that, I can't use the step up program either for a real kick in the balls.

enewt Big update to the queue system today per EVGA_JacobF: In an effort to expedite those in queue who are still waiting for a EVGA GeForce RTX 30 Series Card, and to be fair to all EVGA customers, EVGA is making a change to how they service the queues:
- EVGA accounts that have NOT purchased an EVGA 30 series card yet as part of the queue will be prioritized ahead of accounts that have already purchased a 30 series card through the queue.
- Accounts that have already purchased an EVGA 30 series card in the queue system, will be behind those who have not.
Notes: B-Stock (RX) or Step-Up 30 Series products will not affect queue positions. EVGA’s purpose for this change is to accelerate the total number of gamers that have received at least one EVGA GeForce RTX 30 series card through the queue.
Is there a place to comment/feedback on this? This really sucks because I'm buying for my SO as well as myself. I got up *multiple times* at 6AM my time and spent hours trying to get EVGAs site to load to queue up for the new card drops. I did everything through a single account, I've been in other queues for 6+ months. I'm trying to buy for a real actual person that lives with me so we obv have the same address. Everything has been done with a single EVGA account.

So to clarify, i have been in the 3080 queue for a year (10G-P5-3895-KR - 10/15/2020, 10G-P5-3897-KL - 10/11/2020), then got lucky and got a 3070 by newegg shuffle, added this to my profile for warranty etc. I received two notifications but DID NOT buy ( 3070 and 3090), Does this mean i will be pushed to the back of the line now?

do you deserve a penalty for joining a queue for something you did not intend to purchase ?

Yeah I never was speaking about myself when I made my comments. I was speaking about my friends who have been in the notify queue for about a year and haven't had any notify to buy anything yet. I'm here voicing my support on EVGA making a great move to serve those who haven't had a chance period to even get a "hold me over" card or anything. Several of the people I know would be thrilled to get a RTX 3060 as their main card. Maybe go back and read? I was very clear about it when I posted.

Yep. Anyone who has been following this and has any common sense knows that every shuffle and queue is PACKED by well-done fake accounts, some just by casual cheaters, others by competent scalpers who already have many fake accounts / identities in place for use with bots.

I am in 2 queues to try and help my friends. Hopefully the cards go to the people who need it and haven't been able to get anything period like the people I was speaking about that I know who are also in the queue. Its too early to say how this will affect the obvious scalpers that are already in the queue. But I do agree there are way too many scalpers and fake accounts in the system getting cards just to resell at inflated markups.

With the old system, there was nothing stopping an average, individual, real human, gamer from scalping every card they get from the queue after they get a card in their own rig. I would not be surprised if there there are people who did "noble" things with the extra cards they bought from the queue. I would also not be surprised if there are people who bought a card for their own rig and then chose to make money on other cards they were able to get there-after. The old system allowed people to do either or even both.

Yes, some people were on the ball and bought a few cards to do with what they felt like. Now, for every real random person signed up, who has never been called once, there will be twenty FAKE SCALPER signups being called to buy a card. Maybe even fifty, or a hundred.

But on a different note... Notified: YES. Purchased: YES. First: YES. 12G-P5-3967-KR (8:56:58 AM PT) In regards to the change, I think it would have been better to do it for the next release, but I think it's a good move overall. Not so much for people who got a card as a stop-gap, or for someone else. :/ Used your code. Thanks for keeping this up enewt! As for what to do with this change, what if you kept track of both first and multiple time purchases for a month or 2, just to give people a general idea of how far down the queue they are being pushed if they've already purchased a 3000 series card?

CraptacularOne It's really "odd" that how every time we see a big movement in any of the queues that strangely I also see a huge influx of eBay listings for "Brand new EVGA 30XX" card with ridiculous markups. Coincidence? I think not
If course not. The queue system is already flooded with scalpers and fake accounts. I'd say at least 50% of queue cards have already gone to pro scalpers. Thousands of them. But the latest change will ensure that 95%+ of them go to scalpers.
Now, for every real random person signed up, who has never been called once, there will be twenty FAKE SCALPER signups. Maybe even fifty, or a hundred.
This doesn't sound like you are challenging the point I made though. The new system is better than the old system *if* the goal is more people getting a card. Scalpers, bots, and miners are unchaged or may even have to do a little extra work with the new system vs the old system.

I'm not disagreeing with your point, I'm compounding it. The new strategy is horrifically stupid and out of touch with reality. 95%+ of cards will go to PRO SCALPERS.

Seems like this is good for scalpers and bots as they most likely already had multiple accounts so they are now going to be prioritized over an elite member who bought a 3060 not knowing how long of a wait it was going to be for a 3080. There isn't a perfect system, this change is no different. This change will get more ACCOUNTS a card, but not necessarily more INDIVIDUALS/GAMERS.

Sure, but if someone is aiming to maximize their return on time to scalp, having multiple accounts is a surefire way to go. Whereas normal people in a household with others may only have a single account. I'm in queue for myself and another adult I live with and have been for months and months. Sure, that makes me an edge case and I get it. But I honestly don't think this *specific* change will have a large net positive impact. There's not really much EVGA could do to solve things; they could handle edge cases like mine privately via support tickets maybe, and also do better verification of not having multiple accounts by the same person; but no matter what changes they make to the queue system scalpers have a profit motive to game the system, and for some scalping IS their job.

Darkmatterx76 But on a different note...
Congratulations on your 3967 invite. You have secured a card from the queue! Thanks for reporting back (you are the only report of the day so far). Enjoy your new -- and for the moment -- only gaming goodness from the queue! P.S. Thanks for the feedback re the summary. I think I am in for this week, but really not looking forward to addressing the "I was skipped" emails and PMs....
