I recently got an EVGA 2080ti FTW3 card, but it was the standard fan cooled version and not a hybrid version. I have been wanting to do a conversion to put a hybrid cooler on the card, but I guess EVGA can't be bothered to sell hybrid kits for the 2080ti anymore and they are practically impossible to find anywhere else as well. I have seen hybrid conversion for the 30xx series and I was wondering if those kits would work on the 2080ti. Barring that, does anyone know where one can get ahold of a 2080ti conversion kit? Thanks in advance

the AIO kits have always been a limited run

large - minimum order size - is possibly the reason EVGA does not have extras that they could sell

the die layout for the 2080Ti KP is found in this "Image 9: Dimensions for cooler mounts around GPU and memory spacing":  https://xdevs.com/guide/2080ti_kpe/

you would need to check the layout for the 3080 to see if it "might fit" ... though the 30 series is different (628mm2) .. bigger die, so I highly doubt the mounting holes or RAM copper plate are compatible with your 20 series GPU (die size 545mm2)

I just put a g12 kraken with clc 240 on my 2080ti, it works great, just had to unscrew the plastic shroud from the clc block to fit it on the bracket and then screw it back down. not an issue if you use other aio's though such as the ones on their recommended list.

so far it is running great stable at 2010mhz, it's a evga black xc i stepped up to way back when.
highest temp i've seen on the core is 54c while gaming with the pump on max and fans not audible (noctua fans).

So I am in the process of modding the card with a Kraken G12 and M22 setup. I have the card taken apart, but before I start mounting everything I am wondering if I should reapply some of the thermal pads I took off. In particular, would it help if I put some thermal pads over the areas outlined in red?

Not with the g12, it's better to just have the fan blowing air down on those, if your card is like mine i had to remove that front plate on the card to get a good seating, so i removed all thermal pads.

the thermal pads won't be making contact with anything so they act more as a blanket than anything.
