Hi,

I'm wondering if someone could offer some help.

I've just had a EVGA 2080ti blower card delivered and have unboxed it. I've removed the protective plastic film that covers the card but I've seen there is also a plastic film across the 'EVGA GEFORCE RTX 2080ti' logo/branding on the side of the card as well. It's really not obvious whether I'm meant to remove this as well or leave it on. The protective plastic film that I removed covered the whole of the card including the logo/branding but there does seem to be some more transparent film just covering the logo/branding.

I attach a pic of the side of the card to show the logo/branding I'm referring to as well as a pic of the plastic film that I have already removed.

If someone from EVGA or the community could offer some help with this I would be very grateful.

Thanks!

Protective "film" is to prevent scratching - can be removed

There are no pull tabs extending past the logo, making it tough to start the removal process after the PC is assembled

Sometimes it Melts so best to remove it as recommended by EVGA.

I've found those bits of film covering logos years after I bought a card that I somehow missed when installing it with no ill effect that I noticed.  The one's covering the logo's or I've seen some on the fan hub shouldn't interfere with anything if left on but they are meant to be removed.

I saw at one time an image of the GPU fan sucking in that film and jamming the fan up after a few months.
