Hi all, this is my first post on the EVGA forums. I just recently purchased an EVGA 1080ti FTW3 and it seems to have a slight little blemish that I thought I would inquire about. I will attach photos too, basically, the card is perfect except for the front of the back plate (the portion directly over top of the GPU). I didn't notice this when I fist installed the card, but a few days after I installed it I noticed the front portion of the back plate seems to bulge up and is not level with the back portion of the back plate. It looks like it's about 1.5mm higher in the area where there are no mounting screws, it's almost as if the thermal pad nearest to this spot might be a bit too thick causing a little to much pressure on this part of the back plate, causing is to bow out a little. This is hard to see if you're looking at it from the top, but it's (just) noticeable from the very side looking in through the window of my PC case, it's not horrible by any means, in fact it took my a few days to spot it. I'm just wondering if this is something that most FTW3 cards have? I just want to add that apart from this slight blemish the card has been great and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Hello Stackermodder777, Welcome to the Forums. Maybe one of the screws were not properly fitted on this side of the backplate?
My FTW3 is slightly curved, but I didn't notice any gap in any part of it (it works wonderful, so I'm not even worried).

Can anyone else not see the image, or is it just me?

My first FTW3 had that. Reason might be the lack of screw in that corner of the backplate (which is the only corner without one), and/or the thermal pad beneath it being too thicc.

Hey thanks for the replies guys, PietroBR do you have your card in a case with a window? If so maybe give it another look, I started searching photos of FTW3's and it seems if the photo is taken level with the card then a lot of them have this raised up spot on the back plate. Maybe if you looked at yours again with a flash light (make sure to be level with the card) you might see it better, or maybe your card doesn't have this bend at all...This part of the back plate is void of any screws, there is literally no screws around this area for a good 2 inches. I think it's either the plate is warped, or the thermal pad that sits about an inch back is too thick. I'm just wondering what others would do about it, if anything? Thanks again for the replies. PS: I'm not sure what happened to the first photos I uploaded but when I came back today to check my replies I too couldn't see the photos, so I uploaded two new ones again.

Yup, you're correct. It does have this little bump. Here are a few more photos of mine.

Hey thanks for checking again PietroBR, yours is about the same as mine (mine might be a little worse), my pictures kind of exaggerates how bad the bow is due to the fact that I took the pictures about two inches away from the spot, also I had to crop the photos to meet EVGA's photo size requirement. But yeah it seems like most FTW3's have this little bow after all, it would have been nice if there was another screw at the very corner, that would almost guarantee that it would be level throughout. As long as this is the way most other FTW3's are then I'm fine with it, as I was saying in my first post, I didn't notice it until 5 days after I installed the card, I just kind of happened to glance over at it level with the card one day and noticed it.

If you didn't bring it up, I would never notice it (almost 5 months using it). Thank you Stackermodder777.

I just purchased a FTW3 and I also noticed this slight misalignment on my card when installing it.
