Hi all

Just bought this PSU after reading some great pro an customer reviews. On inspection something caught my eye though. The last section of the heatsink is leaning to the right and is leaning against a large yellow component. Question: before I start the long sordid process of stripping out my old PSU and sticking this one in, is this likely to cause an issue?

Cheers

Yes, but you will need to upload them to a website like tinypic.com or imgur.com and then post the link.

    Hi fathomie,

I took my own picture of one of these units here to show you that yes, it is normal for the heatsink to lean a little bit.

Anyone got a view on whether that lean is a problem or not? As you can see from the photo the nut from the heatsink is pressing on the component next to it.

although it looks a bit too much, it doesn't have to be a problem.
be sure to visually check the pins at the bottom of the heatsink, that's the most important part.
if no pin is damaged or broken then it should be ok.
