so basically they're putting an installer that links to an installer on the net on the DVD.
Lovely. Why do they do that? Put the game on it, and download 2GB of patches
    is a smarter choice.

Forget this one too...Don't want steam.

I will admit I'm a little disappointed that I will be receiving just a box w/ a useless disc in it ( basically just an installer to steam ) and a piece of paper w/ a key code.

I realize fitting the entire 55 gigs using 10 dvd's was not an option for them , but a tad more of the game files would have been nice.,  considering they aren't paying for my internet bandwidth cap to download all this.

    43.8gb download
Game should run great on AMD's upper lineup out now, and the Pascals that we are waiting on since the API is Vulkan. I have a feeling this year and next will be huge on competition in the GPU market.
Not sure if my post is still up in hot deals but cdkeys has Doom for 34 bucks. Already got my key and the bonus dlc.

Been waiting on this one though ID not rushed to just crap something out, and going back to the game series that started it all DOOM.

Opened Steam this morning and my preload unpacked itself. The size balooned from 43 to 48 GB. Installation should bring it up to being close to 55 GB. I won't know for at least two more cups of coffee.

It does,  FPS Average range 75-155 highest I saw was 180"once all assets fully loading in started to see 210 FPS", average 98 FPS at 1440p everything on Ultra -.- Really should put it on my SSD... like Fallout 4, Doom needs to be installed on a SSD.

Not really a dream stop being a fan boy, Async Shaders/compute something that if done correctly in the API's running DX12/Vulkan/Mantle will take full advantage of, not a dream its a fact hate to inform you on your false sense of reality.

nope you didn't Its just a matter of I know what I am talking about and you do not lol. No matter how much you may wish it, Maxwell will not magically grow async shaders/compute that the API takes advantage of. Thats why the GTX 1080 does so well with the new API's mix in enough Async Shaders/Compute support with Finfet = Win Win.

Odd when my average FPS is 98 -.- Joker has completely different numbers with his GTX 980 TI, his numbers have been the average with just about every 980 TI owner that has posted a review, and I have spoken to.

I know the feeling, it's like me posting my wtb Titan X for $290 a piece thread, people are going full troll mode for that thread..lol

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Huh, that's cute. Guess my Fury X missed that memo at its hot 49c. Remember a lawsuit on that 3.5gb thing happening to nvidia. Troll harder, you can do it! But at least you tried.
