I will be extremely surprised if I win this card. It's pretty cool technology EVGA has incorporated into this card including the re-engineered fan blades. My current card is practically a jet.

ACX 2.0 is really great for the 980 since the vapor chamber-based blower cooler is no longer the reference design (yeah, yeah, I know the TDP is greatly reduced, and it's already priced aggressively, but for an X80 card, we kind of expect the fancy bells and whistles; the backplate looks gorgeous though, it's a shame it's an extra for EVGA cards though)
I understand where you are coming from... But i think the fact that they didn't OVERBUILD this card, ig titan-esque cooler with vapor chamber and a lot of extra's, is part of the reason they could price it so aggresively...Which we the consumer benefit from. Now had Maxwell require that heavy-duty of cooling solution, i would definitely want it to be there, even if there was a premium. But i like the package we end up with, reference and custom models alike. This is of course my personal Opinion :]

I have to say, I think it's really kickass that you guys do all these promotions. It's amazing to see what EVGA comes up with when it comes to how the cards are developed and cooled. Good luck to anyone that wins one of these 900 series cards in the event. I know I'll be purchasing one in the near future if I don't win. Rock on EVGA.

I hate it when new model comes out makes my card older especially the GTX900 cause it makes it fell like my 660 is 2-gen old.

Truly love the new innovation of the ACX 2.0. Combined with the silent fans that don't spin until needed as with the new GPU's coming out. Saves power and fan life. Great ideas all around.

Yes, the 980 and 970 with ACX 2.0 cooler is still pretty new. I am really looking forward to reading all the upcoming reviews on these cards from tech hardware websites. She would be pretty good reviews. Thanks EVGA and good luck to everyone!

Can't wait to see some performance numbers on the 980 ACX 2.0's. While I liked the previous coolers aesthetics more, this cooler still looks great. Keep up the great work guys!
